Chapter 3 Surprise!
Finally, it is over. As I watch the last of my children and their families leave, I give thanks to the Lord for giving me the strength to make it through. Sitting at the table with them was enough to test my Christian resolve. To look at them, you would not even guess that they were raised in church. ......Bunch of heathens.
"Goodbye mama, we will call you in a few days." Jody Louise said as she walked out with her two children.
"Goodbye my babies." I said "And good riddance." I giggled to myself.
Closing the door, I directed the cleanup crew I had hired in where and what to clean up after the fest ivies. After I made sure my instructions were clear, I went up the spiral staircase to second floor where the master suite was located. I could not wait to get a hot bubble bath and hit the hay. I had a big day ahead of me tomorrow and I wanted to be prepared. I have a meeting with a couple of executives of the Culinary Channel. They want me to host a weekly show preparing meals geared towards the ethnic family. I hope they know what they are getting into. I want full artistic control and unlike Paula Deen, I am not gonna apologize for anything I fix. Heck, we are all grown, I don't need to tell you what is or is not good for you. I was brought up cooking with lard and fatback and that is what I am going to continue to use.
I don't have any idea how Skylar swung this one. She came to me one day out of the blue saying she knows some executive who wanted to speak to me about a show. I could not believe it. Lord, I hope she did not do something unladylike to get me this opportunity. Maybe that bottle of champagne was from them. Yea, that is who sent it. I felt better now because I was a little put off by a gift arriving at my home. I hardly ever used my home address for any type of mail, packages included. I am glad that is settled I was getting a little worried. Now it is time to take a nice hot bath and hit the hay. I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow.
Meanwhile.
"Phew, that was the best we ever had," meowed Skylar. "Baby you wear me out. I am so glad I met you. And thank you for giving my mother that opportunity with the television show. She is very excited about it."
"You know there is nothing I would not do for you. I would give you anything as long as you keep doing what you are doing and keep your mouth shut." Tracey stated sternly.
"Now baby you know, I would never tell anyone our little arrangement as long as you keep your end of the deal. Your secret is safe with me. Besides you are not the only one with a reputation to uphold." Skylar stated while running her fingers through Tracey's hair.
"Look bitch," spat Tracey while grabbing Skylar's hand from her hair and twisting it behind her back, "you better keep your mouth shut; I do not do well with threats! If you so much as think of saying anything to anyone I will not only slash that pretty little face of yours so that you will never be able to get any work in this town again, I will kill that bastard son of yours!"
"Oww, you're hurting me!" screamed Skylar.
Tracey let go of her arm while pushing her on the bed. Skylar laid there for a few seconds in shock.
"I promise I will not say anything to anyone." Skylar whimpered. "And I do not have a son; I do not know whom you are speaking of!" She stated trying to regain her composure. Not wanting Tracey to get the upper hand.
"You know exactly "WHOM" I am speaking of you conniving little whore! Or did you think you had buried your little secret so deep no one would ever find out? Do you know who you are dealing with? I am Tracey Williams; I can erase you from the face of the earth if I wanted to! Tracey laughed evilly.
"How did you find out?" Skylar asked. "Please I will do anything, please do not tell anyone it will ruin me! Please, all I have is my reputation!"
"You are pathetic; you are so worried about your reputation that you do not even care about your own son! Your own blood? I thought I was cold hearted. Well, as long as you do I say "YOUR" secret is safe with me. Now get over here and show Mama how grateful you are." Tracey stated while sitting on the edge of the bed.
Skylar walked slowly over to Tracey, as she kneeled down in front of her their eyes never left each other's gaze. Making her way between her legs, all Skylar could think about was the repercussions of anyone not only finding out she was bisexual, but she had an illegitimate son by one of the most notorious crime bosses in New York. To hell with anyone else, he must never find out the truth. He would kill me for sure. I barely made it out of there with my life. My mother thinks I changed my name because of embarrassment, but that was not true. I changed it after I got away from him. Making a few changes in my appearance did not hurt either. How did she find out? No one knew about my secret. No one except..........
"That trifling trick! I am going to kill her!" Skylar thought. First things first, I need to pay my dear old mother a visit. We have a lot to discuss about my darling little sister. Skylar smiled as she did what she was told.
