Sanyukta huffed as she stood beside Randhir. He looked at her. She clenched a well-made Thalli in one hand and held his arm with the other.
'Where were you?' He hissed into her ears. Sanyukta took a deep breath and narrated everything to him. She told him how Vidhushi got drunk and misplaced the Thali and how she had to make it from scratch. Randhir's expressions changed from shock to relieve.
The groom and his parents walked up to the main door. The parents greeted each other. Eshaan pushed the layers of flower covering his face and exposed his smiling handsome face. Though Randhir had been suspicious of this boy, he had been proud of his daughter's choice. Rashi has a very good taste. Seeing Eshaan decked as the groom, Randhir smiled with pride. Eshaan greeted Randhir first and touched his feet, Randhir blessed him. He then touched Sanyukta's feet and she smiled blessing him as well. Eshaan touched Kishore feet and Ankit made sure he touched his as well. Randhir rolled his eyes and Sanyukta facepalmed.
As Ankit forcefully spoke with Eshaan, Randhir peeped into Sanyukta's Thali. Sanyukta mistook him.
'Randhir, are you mad? Now, is not the time for romance.' She scolded him.
'Huh, what?' Randhir scratched his head.
Eshaan looked at Sanyukta and she smiled back at him. She then put a red tikka on Eshaan's forehead and showered some petals of marigold flowers. Eshaan smiled at both his to-be-in-laws.
Randhir placed his arm on his Damad's shoulder and lead him inside. Sanyukta facepalmed, Randhir completely forgot to hug and greet the father and welcome the other guests. Sanyukta quickly covered up for him.
Eshaan is made to sit in the altar, the Panditji already doing the Poojas. Randhir stood behind him ready for any ritual the Panditji asks him to do. After some time Panditji asked to get the bride. Randhir nudged Sanyukta, in tension mode he hit her hard.
'Oww.' Sanyukta glared at him and he flashed an innocent smile. She groaned and turned away.

'Rashi, beta. Are you re-' Sanyukta fell short of words as her gaze fell on her beautiful daughter. Rashi sat in front of the mirror, the beauticians doing the last-minute touch-up.
Her baby girl now looked a gorgeous woman in golden and red lehenga, her delicate arms covered with Henna till her elbow and her wrist adorned with beautiful white and red bangles. Sanyukta had instant tears in her eyes.
'Ma!' Rashi smiled at her mother, her eyes twinkling. She then dismissed the beautician and stood up. She held her lehenga and showed the elaborate golden work. She smiled brightly at her mother.
'How am I looking?' She asked her. Sanyukta smiled walking up to her. She held her chin and looked at her daughter lovingly. Sanyukta couldn't help but notice how similar Rashi looked to her father. Exact carbon copy. She smiled shaking her head as recollected the time Randhir and she had seen Rashi for the first time. Randhir had boasted while Sanyukta had whined because she took most of the pain and Rashi is born looking so much like Randhir.
'What happened, Ma?' Rashi asked concerned. Sanyukta smiled through her tears and shook her head.
'Nothing, beta.' She said and then with the tip of her finger she lightly touched her lower eyelid and placed a small dot of Kohl behind Rashi's ears. Rashi smiled little.
'Beautiful.' Sanyukta held her shoulders firmly, her voice ringing with pride. Rashi felt emotional she blinked her tears and hugged her mother.
After they parted, Sanyukta smiled sadly caressing a heavy gold bracelet that Rashi wore. Rashi smiled too.
'This was your Nani's.' - Sanyukta looked teary-eyed at her daughter, - 'I had worn this in my marriage and now,' – she held her cheek, - 'I am passing it to you.' She said. Tears spilled from her eyes and Rashi quickly wiped her tears. She looked at her mother and Sanyukta sniffed lowering her head.
'Please don't cry, Ma. Else I will cry too and all the effort and money on the make-up will go waste.' She joked and chuckled. Sanyukta chuckled as well.
'Chalo, Chalo. Randhir is getting impatient.' Both mother and daughter broke apart when they heard a chirpy voice.
'Sanaya.' Rashi smiled brightly and hurried to her. Sanaya had tears in her eyes as well as she hugged Rashi tightly. They gushed happily. Rashi blushed and Sanyukta felt proud as Sanaya showered her with compliments. A few seconds later, the three ladies made their way downstairs.
