Randhir was in the Altar with everyone, when he heard urgent whispers and excited gasps. He looked up. A smile came to his lips as he watched his girl coming down stairs. Dressed in bridal wear, adorned with makeup and jewelry, she was blushing and had kept her head low. She looked stunning. Randhir's gaze traveled to Sanyukta, even in this age, mother of two grown-up kids, his wife is looking no less than a diva. He found his gaze fixed on her.
Rashi stopped and smiled at her father. Randhir smiled back. Sanaya and Sanyukta made her sit beside Eshaan. Eshaan moved his Sehra and looked at Rashi, they exchanged smiles. Randhir shifted uncomfortably.
After some time, Eshaan and Rashi were made to stand. Mrs. Raichand passed a heavy garland to Eshaan. He smiled and Rashi blushed lowering her head. Gracefully he put the garland around her neck. Sanyukta passed a garland to Rashi and she too put the garland around Eshaan's neck. Everyone clapped.
'Bride's father please forward for the Kanyadan.' Panditji announced and Randhir felt his heart drop.
Kanyadan- He must give away his daughter? The thought made him very emotional. He looked down at Rashi, who smiled and blinked slowly at him. Her silence and the smile assuring him
'Papa, I am a part of you. I can't go away from you. I will always be there with you.'
Randhir smiled and did the rituals. Then Sanyukta tied the knot from Eshaan's Shervani's dupatta with the hem of Rashi's dupatta. The knot binding her daughter to the man she loves. Sanyukta stepped back and admired the Jodi. The couple was asked to stand and take the Pheras around the fire.
As they took the Pheras, everyone showered them with flowers. All blessed the couple.
Sanyukta felt a sharp nudge on her hip and she turned to look at Randhir.
He gestured towards the couple and whispered, - 'Remember how we had taken the Pheras. Twice.' Randhir and Sanyukta chuckled. Sanyukta remembered how once they had gotten married hiding from her father and then later got married with his acceptance and in a grand way.
'We took total fourteen Pheras. Wow!' Randhir whispered.
Sanyukta leaned back and whispered into his ear, - 'Now I have to tolerate you for fourteen janams.' She looked evilly at him as he frowned.
'My bad luck.' She added and then smiled hearing Randhir mumble something angrily under his breath.
Randhir passed Sanyukta the Thali from which she took out a beautiful delicate Mangalsutra and handed it to Eshaan. Randhir had tears in his eyes as he watched him tie it around Rashi's neck. Sanyukta lifted Rashi's maang tikka little and Eshaan filled her parting with Sindoor. Rashi looked up at her mother. She had tears in her eyes- Happy Tears.
Sanyukta smiled and wiped her daughter's tears. Randhir tried keeping a straight face but it was getting harder.
They were announced as husband and wife and they stood. Rashi and Eshaan took blessings from everyone.
Randhir felt very emotional as the two touched his feet and so he simply caressed their head. Else, his wavering voice will give him away.
'DINNER.' Sanaya announced. Everyone left everything and hurried towards to the dining hall. Everyone except bride and groom and their family.
