"We'll take it off next week," exclaimed the doctor, "Your endocrinologist was in today and told me to tell you're switching to shots soon, he was gonna call you but something was going on with his kids." I nodded and walked out with Eric.
By the time we got home it was pouring out so I went to the garage to smoke. Shortly after Eric came in and joined me. "Been awhile since practice," he was referring to our band.
"Yah think?" I said this as last time we practiced was 3 months ago.
"Should I call up the guys?" I grinned at this remark, he knew my answer.
A half an hour later every one showed up, typically I do instruments and stay away from vocals but I cant do shit with my fucking cast so I sung for the first time in forever and played some bass. (The way my cast was I could play some basic stuff.)
We played for awhile some covers I almost cried when I heard the first three and before you knew it I was going along.
"I never thought I'd die alone," every one including myself was amazed at my voice I continued the song trying not to cry. "Couldn't wait to get outside," tears were running down my face at this point.
At the end of the song Eric saw the condition I was in clued everyone else enough for today. The guy are cool so the understood and left saying they were in a hurry, I thanked them for everything and the minute the left cried in Eric's arms. I was just getting sober and of course every things was getting worse.
