19.) I'm Falling In Love With Someone New

"Okay wait, tell me that again.  You did what?" I say while crying with laughter. Percy is in the same state as I, crying with laughter. "Yeah like I said I was in elementary school and we were on a field trip, my class was checking out the shark tank area. I was bored and decided to check the panel of buttons that was right next to me. Short story my class took a swim with the sharks. I didn't mean to" Oh my gods that sounds like something I would do! Can his life get any more exciting? "So they kicked you out of the school? That's not very fair." Percy shakes his head in disagreement. "Nah I understand why they did it, I mean I did submerge the class into a tank filled with sharks. Though the sharks didn't do anything, they must have sensed who my father was, cause the sharks stayed as far away from me as they could, which is dumb cause I wasn't even in the water" Do sharks, not like him? "Wait Percy do you mean that sharks don't like you or they didn't want to hurt you?" but before he could answer me a hand appeared on his face.

Ah, our food is here, yup Percy decided that we needed fuel for working so hard from watching the movie. Hard work that is. I wanted to go to the new seafood place in town but when I told Percy he threw a fit and demanded that I never eat seafood again. I totally understand why he doesn't eat seafood, cause his dad or ex-dad was Poseidon so the fish must be their friends. Weird. So Percy dragged me to the nearest restaurant, which ended up being one of the fanciest places in town. I tried to fight him on the matter saying I was in sweatpants but he just said that he has it covered. He was true to his word because now I am in skinny jeans and a nice sweater, sometimes I forget that he has the power of creation, must have gotten that power from Chaos.

Anyway, back to the present the hand that blocked me from seeing Percy's face was the waiter delivering us our food, yummy. Soon we are digging into our dinner, I don't even know what I'm eating cause Percy picked out our food. Judging by Percy's face when he was reading the menu he didn't either.  "You were saying, Percy?" I wait for Percy to swallow his food so that he can continue to answer my question. "Nah sharks like me, love me actually. Their kind of like cats, they rub their heads on my legs and its almost like they pure when I scratch them" Hmmf, I'm swimming with him from now on, knowing my luck I would go to the beach and in a matter of minutes I would have a shark chasing me. "Well from now on I am going to the beach with you, I refuse to die at the hands of a shark".  Percy grimaces when he hears what I said, did I say something bad? "Stiles, I doubt I will ever be able to go to the beach again, I'm a fugitive. I guess I didn't tell you that, the gods banished me from camp, Zeus most likely thought I was too powerful or something. In all honesty, it was bound to happen. The gods are idiots like that, I mean my fatal flaw is loyalty. I'm deathly loyal, I would die for my Fri... okay not them anymore. It's actually really funny, Annabeth's mother, Athena told me that my fatal flaw would lead me to my death." Why would his family do that to him? I mean your family is supposed to protect you, and vice versa. It makes me sick thinking that happened to him.

Percy went silent after that conversation, I wanted to talk to him about how he was feeling but it looked like he didn't want to be bothered. So we ate in silence, the only sound coming from us was the scrapping of our silver wear. We leave after Percy pays for our dinner, not knowing that I slipped the last five dollars that I had as a tip. Percy was silent the whole time we walked to his car, when we got into the car we just sat there for a bit. Just staring at the parking lot, soon my ADHD acts up cause I start changing the radio every other second. My fidgeting must have amused Percy because he started chuckling until it turned into full-blown laughing. I start laughing just because he was laughing, Percy just has that kind of laugh. It's contagious.

After Percy is done laughing he starts pulling out of the parking lot and we're off. Percy must have been in a romantic mood if you get what I mean because we are at the edge where you can see the whole town of Beacon Hills. I thought that we were here to look at the view but Percy clearly had other ideas, what to know why I said that? Because Percy took his shirt off, did I mention this guy is ripped? like painstakingly beautiful. Soon I see Percy's beautiful black wings, I want to touch them so bad. Percy must have known cause he spreads his midnight color wings towards me. Softly I stroke them, holy crap they are so soft! I look up at Percy and ask him the question that has been on my mind for the last ten minutes. "Percy, why did you bring me here?" I soon regret asking when he shows me his mischievous smile. Please, whatever he has planned don't let me die!

"THIS IS AMAZING!" I shout at the top of my lungs. Percy's idea was amazing. It still is. He decided to talk me flying! At first, I tried to stop him in fear of Zeus but he calmed me down when he said his parents are keeping him safe. Hera and Hestia must be great parents, wonder if they support gay people? Anyway back to the matter at hand, I can't stop smiling. Which isn't a problem, nope not at all. "Percy thank you so much, you must love to fly!" Percy smiles at me, have I mentioned how beautiful his smile is? Let alone his eyes? He starts to circle back to the cliff before diving forward while I'm screaming bloody murder. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?! DO YOU WANT ME TO DIE?!" He just laughs before spreading his wings so we don't crash. When we are safely on the ground I push him away and collapse on the ground. "Oh sweet grass, I missed you" I stay there for a minute refusing to get up. "Percyyyyyy I don't want to go back to school" He just sighs. Rude. "Stiles, we are excused from school for like four more days. Don't ask how, cause I don't know. Must mom have used the mist or something" mist? Did he explain what that is? "Mist? What is that?" "It's what hides the godly world, that way mortals can't see what is actually in front of them." There's also one thing on my mind. "Percy...when we were at the vet's office, why did you say we are in danger?" Please don't let it be anything too bad. "I don't know exactly, but all I know is that with me being here, a ton of monsters will come after me. My parents are trying to keep me away from the gods and that already takes a major amount of power so I doubt that they can hide me from monsters. Scott never told me what he fought that day, and I'm guessing I told you. What was it?" Scott, he would tell me if he saw something right? "Sorry Percy, he hasn't told me anything"
He just shakes his head and gives me a tight smile. A forced smile. One filled with worry. "Percy, nothing too bad will happen, right? You can beat the monsters that come after you right? I don't want anyone to get hurt." Especially you.
