Chapter 6: Finally Happy or so I Thought (Mariah's POV)

I was lying on the bed in my room staring at sky blue ceiling and I was thinking that 'finally life started to look good and happy. After me and Zeke found Javier two days ago in the forest, all my pain, anger and disgust for Jason had all but disappeared. I can even say his name without having listened to my wolf growl, whine or howl for so-called mate because he rejected us. She also is more content and happy after us (I and my wolf) found out that Javier is our mate, not a second chance mate but actual mate. I felt happy once more after so many years of physical, mental and emotional abuse. If I may be so candid, am thankful that Jason rejected me back then otherwise I wouldn't have become what I am today. I probably have been the same cowering girl, I once was. The pack and my ex-brother would have stopped all the jeering and physically abusing me after, Jason would have given the Alpha command to stop torturing their Luna but I know for sure there would have been hostility, hatred and venom under the surface. I was startled when somebody knocked on my bedroom door. I sniffed the air, it was Javier. He came inside, and sensed that I was removed from a deep thought.

He asked, "Hey, love! What were you thinking so hard about?" I felt that if I told he then it anger him without any reason. So I told him something which partially true because I knew there was no way I could have lied to him. "Nothing loves. I was just thinking how lucky I am to have you as my mate." He came and pulled into his embrace and whispered, "No love, actually I am lucky to have you as my mate because after I lost my pack, I felt as if all was lost. But after I met you in forest I felt as if I would be able recuperate from the loss and my life would have happiness all over again. I knew for a fact that once a pack member finds a mate from another pack or the mate is rogue and pose no threat. The wolf has to join the pack; I was glad that I had you as mate because after I learnt what you had been through in the past. Zeke came across this girl in the forest and brought her to Seb but he wants you both to be around so he can discuss whether or not to kill her or ask her to join the pack. So be down in ten." Javier spoke up, "But Lu....Rosa why did you have come up to get us? You could have just called us through mind link.

"Javier dear, Mariah is like a daughter I never had, so by extension that makes my son, so you both are my children. Therefore to you I am a mother figure first, then a Luna. You can call me mom or you can continue calling me Rosa." I spoke up, "Thanks mom! I am glad I have as a mother after my mother died and Seb as a father my father died." Javier also agreed, "Yeah mom you are an awesome mom to me after my late mother and Seb is an awesome dad after my late father." Mom (Rosa) beamed with happiness.
