Everything swirled around me as the world tilted. The steam abated. I just saw someone kidnapping Harrison! "No-no-no-no! Please, no!" My hands were over my head, and my body was shaking uncontrollably. I kneeled on the freshly-cut grass, sobbing again because of an entirely different situation. My biological father kneeled beside me, touching both of my exposed shoulders and rubbing them consolingly. Abruptly, I stood straight up rigidly with tight muscles. "Don't touch me! Don't touch me!! Ack, I'm so filthy. I'm so fucking filthy-!"
My father's blue irises were alight with understanding sadness as the babble spewing from my lips continued. "Delilah, baby-"
"No! Daddy, I'm dirty! I feel so dirty!" I began pacing the grass back and forth like a rhythmic crazy dance. Three pairs of eyes were staring holes into my back. A memory that was so fiercely strong it caused me to stumble backward suddenly latched onto me like a dear old friend. "Oh, my God," I whispered.
My father's big, kind blue eyes snapped open at the rapid halt to a rant beyond what I could control. "What is it, baby-?"
I held up a hand, signaling that I was in fact okay. Maneuvering closer towards Calon who is further away from us, I ran a calculated left hand down his chin. "Who are you?" I asked, breathless and stunned. The Calon impostor demonstrated not one indication of shock or fear. Nothing bellied the person's true identity nor intentions. Even the clothing matched, up to a tailored black suit and down in the direction of dark jeans. It's just that the mustache on his upper lip looked fake as hell. Oh, the little things.
"What are you spewing, little girl? I'm the same damn-"
"DO NOT LIE TO ME!" I spit. "Calon Black may be a disgusting piece of shit, but I know him. You are most certainly not the man I've come to loathe! So, I'll ask again; who the hell are you?"
Kicking whoever this is in the ribs, a female groan emerged from their lips. "Fine! God, just stop kicking me! What the fuck, girl? Do you go around kicking people for fun?!"
I relented as the woman stood up, taking off her mask. I gasped. "Oh, my God, Mom?"
