Chapter 7: sparring

Everyone on the cliff edge could only continue to watch on with varied expressions.

May-shocked and scared-: What happened to him?!

No answered as they didn't know either. Down below (y/n)'s form lost it's eyes as they became covered by the red energy. Then two tails that ended with what looked like a club formed before he started to get bigger. Soon (y/n) was the same height as the grimm arachnid queen's. Then (y/n) gave a howl before he lunged forward at the grimm. As he tackled it the others on the cliff could feel the ground quake. They watched as (y/n) then swung his tails and knocked the grimm to the side. He then charged forward and rammed the grimm into the cliff as it gave a screech of pain. The grimm then used it's legs to stab into (y/n)'s sides but it quickly retracted them as they were being burned from digging into his corrosive chakra. (y/n) gave a roar as two more tails sprouted out as he bit into one of the grimm's legs. He then threw the Queen towards the cliffs as he spit out the purple blood in his mouth from the now bleeding spider leg. (y/n) the charged forward and rammed the Arachnid into the abyss bellow, causing the others to widen their eyes in horror.

Yang-eye's wide and crying-: No...

The people close to (y/n) cried while those who just met him lowered their heads in respect. Though that all stopped when they felt the ground shake. The shaking grew larger as whatever was causing it was getting closer. Everyone prepared themselves as they stepped away from the cliff but they soon froze when a large red and black clawed hand grabbed onto the edge.

Ruby-happy-: He okay!

(y/n) then pulled himself up and once he stood towering over everyone he started to shrink. As he was done he stood in front of the group before he collapsed forward and was twitching.

RWBY, JNPR, Militia, and Melanie: (y/n)!!

The group then ran to (y/n) and flipped him onto his back as they removed his helmet. They were then shocked to see his skin to be reddish while also panting.

Nora-worried-: What's wrong with him.

James: It must be the effect of the arachnid grimm's blood, they are known to be toxic.

Glynda: That means that we have to hurry and get him to the infirmary!

Yang-picking up (y/n)-: I'll take him.

She then quickly ran into the academy to the infirmary. You better recover (y/n) or else I'll give you a beating like never before yang thought as she kept running.

*2 days later*

(y/n) slowly opened his eye's as he let them adjust to the light. As he was finally able to see his surroundings he was able to see a curtain to his left and a window on the right and saw that the sun was starting to rise. He then took notice to the weight on his stomach and saw a sleeping yang with her head on him. He also noticed that his new team was also in the room passed out as well in the chairs to the sides of his bed. He stopped moving though as he felt yang start to wake up and as she rubbed her eyes she froze when she noticed that (y/n) was awake.

(y/n): comfy?

Yang's only response was to pull him into a hug as she hopped onto the bed.

Yang-slightly shaking-: You scared the hell out of everyone you idiot.
