Chapter 24: Reunions

It was the day. Thee day by that I mean it's the ball day which means I get to see Shawn yay...

I was in the midst of fitting my dress,( all thanks to Matthew, it was elegant not too bold, black and totally me) when Matthew walked in with an all too suspious grin.

"You look lovely, Miss Cullen " I eyed him wearingly as he stood in front of me,tucking his hand in his suit.

"And.. you look rather dashing, What's up with you?" I asked all too quickly.

The dressmaker motions me to step in my heels to see the final look. Before she could leave,"Thank you Brenda ,It looks beautiful." She nodded her head with a smile and left, closing the door, leaving Matthew and I alone.

"I have a surprise for you?"which allows me to sigh."you're sighing?" he frowned.

I immediately see my mistake,"It's not a bad one, Its just you're always full of surprises...but" I started to fiddle with his tie.

"But?"curious was an understatment.

But I was loss of words of what I actually wanted to say."I don't know ..." I let out another sigh walking to my dressing table ,"So what is it anyway?"turning to him as I leaned on the near table.

He seemed to have wanted to know more but sweeped it off his shoulder," Well you're going to like this."

I smiled in thought, I always do.

He walked over to the door and opened it and stands beside it as I wait in anticipation.

In comes a running Alexis,Devan,Violet and a hunched walking Shawn.Of course I was only excited to see two of these four people,confused why one ran and why one actually showed up but I hugged the three that showed up to me first nontheless while Shawn walked awkwardly slow towards the crowd.

"Gosh guys some space please." I joked. Once the reunion was over," Oh my god ,its so good to see you all," My hand was released from Alexis as she screaches in excitement.Somethings never change. It's been months since I've last saw her.

"You look so gorgeous."Alexis exclaimed.

" Damn you clean up good third wheeler." Devan grinned. "Oh wait, not anymore." He wiggles his eyebrows in Matthew's direction.

"Oh shut up Devan." I shoved him while a blush creeped up on my cheeks making my blush look red instead of the soft pink.

He put his hands up in defense and then around Alexis's waist," You look beautiful."

"Thank you." I say shyly with a curtsy.

My gaze moved to Shawn,where violet made herself comfortable next to. His eyes looking in every other direction but mine. My smile flattered an inch.I haven't really told anyone like Alexis and Devan about the fight. So much could've happened.

Finally I spotted a Matthew who seemed lost in his own world leaning against the door entrance. I made my way towards him and he was soon out of his daydream. My arms go in for a hug as I whispered a "thank you" in his ears.

My arms linked around his neck as I looked at him with a bright smile.He returns it and his arms goes around my waist ,I looked down only to notice his suit was matching my dress. My smile fades as the question I've been wanting to ask comes to me,"How or why would you invite those two." he sighed."You're sighing." I slanted my eyes.

"Would you look at that,Something we actually have in common."we chuckled ,"No Urm... It was a package deal when I asked for your friends Alexis and Devan to come to the hotel."

I sighed this time,"Are you angry at me ?" He asked cautiously.

"What? No why would I be?" I jumped to defense.

"You're doing what your friends did."I looked up at him confused at the statement.

"What'd you mean ?"

Before he could even answer or reply to my question we were interrupted."Are you two love birds ready? We have a party to go to."I reconized those words all too well.

My relationship with Matthew has grown so much, no I meant friendship. This friendship could be considered as close as Alexis and I are. We've cleared it on the media that we have 'broken up' but we are still great friends. Kaleb wasn't too happy at the decision we made ourselves. It was getting stressful with the pressure the media wanted from us. Everyone was beginning to think it was fake either way considering all they were getting were photoshopped make out pictures of Matthew and I. Our friends just still find fun in teasing our weird close relationship with all the similarity between us.

"Di ! You look so amazing." I threw my hands off Matthew only to go rushing towards her.

"Thank god somebody stopped them." Violet commented from behind.

Diana eyed me questioning, asking if that was the infamous Violet I've always spoken about. She always heard about her but never actually got to see how she looks because of the lack of photos on my phone and the media. It happened when she walked in on Jackson and I's conversation about the same satan.

I guess you could say that my crush with Shawn was very much well known.

I nodded descreatly to Diana."Ahh there she is." The voice makes Diana smile and Jackson approaches from behind her with a huge smile. He pulls Diana to him eyeing her from the bottom to the top.He kisses her after adding how beautiful she looked.

My brother can treat a girl right.He can treat them like a queen and may I add,this might sound cliche' but he's actually the perfect guy that every girl looks for. And I know this because he treats me well and you've just witnessed it here ladies and gentlemen. Just his few temper issues and he'll be great. I guess everyone has their flaws...

He finally finds me, "Wow,ranger, Matthew has done his magic. You look beautiful." I beamed with a grin.

"Thank you ,well you've looked better." I flipped my hair.

"Honey, I'll always look better than I was a second ago." He fires back.

"Alright jokes aside ,My beautiful date and I have a party to attend too." Matthew announced putting his arm forward for me to latch to.

And with that we all walked out. I couldn't help but notice how good Matthew smelled and I looked at him again. I caught his gaze on me,I smiled,"You look handsome."

"And you look beautiful." I leaned my head on him only to notice a gaze on me that was not from Matthew though but from Shawn. He walked with his arm around Violet's waist. He saw that I've caught his gaze but it still stayed for a while though it lasted longer than it should have. I broke it off only to think that this was going to be a long night.
