A year from this week, I was made homeless but only for a month.
We couldn't keep our house and we got kicked out. But this was a good thing because we needed to leave the area as it was rough. The council let us get our stuff and we finally left our old place. Also, the mental health care in my old place was shit. We stayed at my mums place for a month and we got a place in a caravan site for 5 months.
We nearly lost our place there due to the landlord being a twat and saying that we haven't done paperwork propulary but his wife understood. We spent the whole winter there and it was cold some days, it was warm nearly all of the time.
I moved to my new place on the 10th April and I have been here for 6 months and 16 days when I'm writing this.
Please, if you are going to be homeless, talk to your friends to see if you can stay for a few days (not like me for a whole month) before going to the council in your area. If you need emergency placement, they have to give it to you and if they don't, look into it because it might be different for every area.
My mental health went down hill due to the stay in the caravan but it was good there because of my uncle.
I have told my friends in my new place because they wanted to know (I'll talk about them in another segment) and they didn't care. Also, my bf said if it happened again, go to his.
