Part Four

The rest of the day we avoided each other. Shawn was in all of my classes and even his friends were asking him why he seemed upset.

It hurt so much to know that this was our last full weekend together... I had taken him for granted. He was there from the beginning and now he's TOURING.

Anger shot through me. He said his dad was forcing him.. How could he. I heard the bell ring outside of my flaming thoughts.

"SHAWN. COME HERE. NOW." I yelled. Being stern always was one of my best traits.

Shawn obeyed, leaving his seat. Since it was time for lunch, we weren't in a rush. Shawn approached me with his head down, twiddling his fingers. I could tell he was upset.

"You aren't going anywhere." I looked him dead in the eye. Shawn was so tall and I was so short, most wouldn't have had the guts to raise their voice to him.

"I already told you Lauren. Don't make this harder than it already is for me. I have no choice."

Anger boiled inside of me. My temper exploded. I knew I had to keep it inside, shawn was seconds away from breaking.

"How am I supposed to hang out with my best friend regularly this weekend when this is our last?"

"It's not our last. I just need to start this tour and get known more.. I'm never leaving, okay? Look, I'll talk to you on the plane. We need to focus on now."

Shawn proceeded out the door and left me in tears. The amount of love I had for him was unbearable and the thought of having months where shawn was gone was so hurtful. But he really cared. I could tell.

The day flew by and shawn hugged all his friends and thanked them. All of them were clueless to him leaving and doing online school for his tour..

We got off the bus and his mom had the car packed. I could see my purple suitcase in the trunk. Shawn's dad climbed in the front seat and me and shawn sat in the back. Aaliyah and Mrs. Mendes had to stay behind for some reason.

The car ride to the airport wasn't that long and shawn and I laughed the whole way. He always seemed to make my worries dissappear. He made everything okay.

Putting up our luggage and getting on the plane was the best.

"Don't fall Laur!" Shawn laughed, teasingly pushing me up the steps to board the plane. I had never flown before.

We boarded the plane and found our seats. He pointed for me to sit by the window.

"Best seat for the best lady here." He said with the biggest grin on his face. Shawn was a true jokester.

Shawn sat in the middle and his father followed. I was smushed by the window and Shawn's large arms. I never realized how much his working out was paying off.

"Try these!" He smiled, handing me a bag of peanuts and laughing.

The rest of the trip flew by. Shawn's dad slept most the time and shawn and I giggled at his snores, occasionally poking him to tell him to quiet down. Hanging with shawn felt so good, I almost forgot the clock being with him was ticking...

After a few laughs I must've fallen asleep. I woke up to the pilot on the intercom telling us we were landing in five. I looked over to see shawn sleeping, wearing nothing but a tank top. What happened to his burgundy Obey hoodie? I looked down to realize he had wrapped it around my shoulders sometime throughout the night. I felt bad but seeing Shawn's muscular arms flexing around his chest in a tank top made me feel okay about it.

"GOOOOOD MORNING!" He screamed, making me jump ten feet out my seat. Shawn busted out laughing.

"SHAWN! I thought you were asleep!"

"No, I've been awake. You ready for NYC?!!"

I was as ready as I was ever gonna be. The plane started jerking and the flight attendants told us we were about to land. Shawn looked at me and smiled with his checks as red as ever.

"This is it, Laur."
