*A Few Weeks Later*
Olivia's POV:
We were in trial waiting to see if Mom will go to jail or not. Her lawyer was a fucking asshole! She was completely being rude to me and Meredith. She kept on saying that the reason why Mom is like this is because she's in shock. And doesn't know what she's doing. Sure. Then, the jury came back with a verdict. It came back saying, "not guilty." My heart dropped to my stomach. Tears streamed down my face. I turned pale. Then, I felt dizziness and I saw darkness.
Meredith's POV:
I looked over at Olivia. She looked sick. Then, she collapsed. "OLIVIA!!!" I screamed. She passed out. "Sis! Wake up!" I yelled gently slapping her cheeks. We got her out the courtroom and onto a table. We put a damp cloth on her face. Soon enough, she woke up. "What happened?" She groaned. "You passed out." I explained. Olivia nodded getting up. "Woah, are you ok to walk?" I asked. She nodded. I let her back in the courtroom. Mom walked towards us. "Ready to go kids?" Mom asked. I didn't answer. "Olivia. Leave the courtroom. Go outside and meet us in the car." I whispered in my sister's ear. Olivia nodded and quickly left. "What was that about Meredith?" Mom asked crossing her arms. "I told her to leave so that you won't hit her." I said in a hateful tone and a glare. "Really Meredith?" Mom asked. "Yes really! You always hit her! From now on, if you don't wanna go through this again, DON'T ABUSE OLIVIA!!!" I said screaming the last part. The judge, security officers, and the jury were staring at us. I ran out the courtroom. I met Olivia in front of the car. I really wanted to drive away but unfortunately I have to wait for Mom. Soon enough, she came. Olivia got in the car really fast. After Mom got in, I did. We drove back home.
