TEXT MESSAGE

ASHLEIGH: HEYYY, IM SO SORRYY FOR NOT TELLING YOU EARLIER BUT IM GETTING A RIDE FROM LIAM. :)

NAOMI: SURE. CODY'S FETCHING ME TO SCHOOL.

'Cody Gazelle? Hmm.. This should be interesting.' I murdered to myself.

'What?' Liam asked.

'Nothing!' I said quickly.

'I heard my brother's name.' he gave me his signature crooked smile.

'Like when did I mention about Cody?'

'I din't say you were saying Cody's name.' he smirked at me,'Aww busted!'

'I was just thinking, okay?'

'Nope. Why aren't you thinking about me?' He leaned in and asked. Trying to avoid his question, I quickly changed the topic.

'Oh look, Cassie's waiting! Doesn't she look hot today?' I fanned myself.

'Who?' he tilted his head as he questioned.

'My friend!' I pointed out to him.

To my delight, he made a puke-face as saw who I was pointing out.

'Even my mum looks so much better than her!' he cried out.

'Yeah, she totally bleached herself.' I told him as I got out of his car.

At once, Cassie ran straight towards me. I meant us. Cassie ran straight towards us.

'Ash! Hi Liam!' she waved to Liam who wasn't even acknowledging her.

'You know Liam?' she asked.

I was about to say that we lived together when Liam spoke first, 'Im her boyfriend.'

What?!

'He was just giving me a ride.'

'A ride everyday.' he argued back.

Meanwhile, Cass was giving me the glaring 'eye'. I knew that she wanted more information. When we are alone.

'Let's get to class.' Liam indicated as the bell rang. He pulled my hand and blinked at Cassie before walking off.

I turned back to mouth a good-bye to Cass before leaving voluntarily.

'Ouch! That hurts!' I yanked my wrist away from his large hand. But he never let go. Instead, he pulled me closer to him and whispered, 'Im your boyfriend.'

'For real?' I asked.

He nodded his head.

'Why?' I asked stupidly.

'Because Cassie is trying to hit on me but she's getting on my nerves.'

As we entered English class, every eye turned onto us. Suddenly, I knew why Cass wanted Liam. We sat down on our seats and I leaned in to whisper to Liam,'You have no feelings for her ever?'

He shook his head furiously. It made him look really cute and hot at the same time.

'Not my type.' he whispered back.

'So..what is your type then?' I asked curiously. Although I knew part of the answer, I wanted badly to hear it with my own ears.

His reply was short. But sweet.

'You.'

'How's the leg going?' Cody asked after English.

'You meant the legs? They are great!' I answered cheerfully.

'Good. Because you wouldn't want to lose to me for the tennis game later.

'I know one thing, and that one thing is you treating me to some Starbucks latte.' winking at his stunned face, I spun on my flats and jogged off fori my try-outs for track-and-field.

Even with two injured legs, nothing could have stopped me from running at the speed of light. Not even the coach's whistle for me to stop. Nothing except the stupid guy running at my side.

Nico Gazelle.

'Im the team captain.' he spoke cooly before sprinting off at high speed.

Say whut?!

Before my brain could process the fact, I tripped over my own shoe and fell flat on the ground near Coach's feet.

'Ahh you finally stopped.' he looked down at me, 'You're in.'

Smiling, I stood up to shake his hand. Now I need a drink to celebrate. And it would Cody's honor to treat me that drink.

Grabbing my bag, I jogged off to the showers to refresh my sweaty body.

However, before I could hit the shower room, I was stopped by a very familiar but unfamiliar face...
