With a grunt i heaved myself out of bed, and walked down stairs calling out to my brother, "hey, Sam you up?"
No reply guess he's still asleep.

Jumping onto the lounge i flicked on the TV, a feeling of disappointment washed over me as I looked through the channels to discovere it was only the same boring programs. Even after a year the senators diapearance was still a major issue it was all that was on TV besides something about a meteor falling to earth it seemed important, but not important enough to distract me from the day planned ahead.

Sam, rose, harmony and I were going out on camping trip to Mt veemitra, it was beautiful spot but it being so close to the border not many people wanted to risk it so the place would be only occupied by us.

Sam said it would be a good opportunity for him to get close to Harmony, in other words give him time to be alone with Rose. I don't mind Harmony but she isn't my ideal person sure she was beautiful, blonde hair, blue eyes, tan skin, and to top it off perfect teeth but that didnt matter becuase her beauty was mostly covered up by her constant begging for attention and bitchy sense of humour it just makes me feel on edge whenever she's around.

The only reason I agreed to go anyway was in a hopes to see one the creatures my mum used to tell me about when i was going to bed, creatures with scaly skin, hooks and all sorts of other weird attachments.

Three hours later
By the time Sam got up and the girls arrived it was half past noon, grabbing the last of my things i left the house locking the door behind me. Sam and Rose already cueing over each other, i stood there depressed and just thinking if ill ever get to be loved like that i shook my head laughing at how pathetic I sounded, chuckling i placed the last of the bags in the back of my baby a 1967 Chevy Impala.

Only to have the boot slammed shut barely missing my fingers "hay! Almost took my fingers off you jerk", i turned towards the person standing next to me, of course it was harmony i let out a grunt and turned on my heel to walk to the front of the car only to be pulled back by the crazy girl
"Aww deany, I thought you'd be happier to see me" the sweetness in her voice almost giving me a tooth acke.
"not when your trying decapitate my fingers"

"don't take it personally just wanted to have some fun"

"I think our versions of fun are from very different ditchionaries"

"whatever you say, yah know you don't need to be such a stick in the mud all the time"

"and you don't need to be such a child"
Not wanting to continue the conversation i jumped into the car and started the engine. The others must've got the hint becuase the quickly jumped into the back of the car. Putting in my favourite Caset tape I waited for the music to play 'carry on my wayward son...' I let the music play soothing my nerves as I pulled out of the driveway and headed towards the highway.

It was a normal drive there Sam and Rose talking about whats more import in a relationship honesty or being selfless, and Harmony on her phone most likely talking to anyone willing to talk to her,as I pulled into the parking space i couldn't help but feel like something had changed it even felt different it looked different it was all so surreal, yet again it had been ten years since my last visit.

The cold air buffed my face, sending a chill down my as I got out of the car, I shoved my hands in my pockets and walked to the back of the car to get my stuff, the wind was picking

"Sam we should probably get the tents up before it gets to windy"

"yeah, yeah give me sec, we only brang two weve gotta pair up" a smirk crossed his face

"well I ain't sharing with her" I pointed a finger in Harmonys general direction

"I'll sleep in the car"

"yeah whatever your still helping to put them up though"

"yeah fine" I put my hands up in defeat

Once we'd finally set up the tents, I could finally take in the full beauty of this place, we'd set up camp near the base of the mountain. And let me tell you it's an amazing sight the mountain stretching high enough that it cut the Skye, it's cold marble surface so broad it looked like it would stretch on forever

and thanks to the rich minerals washed from the mountain the fields around it were green and covered in what looked like hundreds of different types of flowers, I couldn't help the smile that crept across my face this place was just peaceful and so so so perfect, I could spend the rest of my life here and not get bored of this sight.

I jumped as I felt a hand press against my back, followed by laughter
Looking over my shoulder I saw Sam clutching he's stomach, without hesitation I shoved him in the shoulder

"jerk" I yelled
That seemed to do the trick becuase he straightened himself out and grabbed my wrist and pulled me into a bone crushing hug

"haha, you should have ninja reflex bye now I've been scaring you since we were kids"

"well dosent make it any better you scared the hell out of me, what did you want anyway, shouldn't you be with rose"

"o-oh, yeah I almost forgot, tomorow rose wants to take a hike up the mountain, something about the perfect photos"

"so, what does that to do with me"

"not much, Harmonys agreed to come just wanted to know if you wanted to tag along aswel"

"I don't know, maybe, I'll think about"

"okay, cool, goodnight bro"

"night" I said trying to sound as cheery as possible, when in reality had a gnawing feeling in my stomach like something was wrong.

I figured I must be anxious about being back here, and decided to go for a walk to settle me down, I followed an old hiking trail that curved around the mountain and into a small forest.

I kept at a steady pace and followed the path for a good half an hour before I smelt something odd, I took in deep breath smoke? No no it can't be I looked up in the air no smoke, so where is the smell coming from?

Sudden curiosity taking over I left the path and followed the smell, it didn't take long till I started to see burnt vegiation in a narrow path weird...
Following the signs of the fire I finally reached a clearing a strip of burnt land heading straight to the middle of the opening

Taking in a steady breath I walked towards what looked like an impact of an meteor, but it was far to small to be a meteor, maybe a satellite fell. As I got closer I could definitely try tell it was a Impact from something but what?.

I finally worked up the courage and looked into the crater, my breath hitched as I layed eyes on what was in there... It was impossible no way, it was just impossible, yet it was there.
