Deans P.O.V
We drove for what seemed like days till we arrived at bobbies I had already phone ahead and told him I needed to talk to him he seemed curios but didn't push, which I'm grateful for I can't risk talking over phone since the UPC has control over most levels of communication
When we pulled Upto bobbies it was well into the night, Cass was asleep in shotgun, face against the glass he fell asleep about an hour ago I know he wanted to stay awake but he needed some rest after what happened earlier
I turned off the engine and tapped Casses shoulder
"wake up bud, we're here"
"five more minutes honey"
Haha did he just call me honey?
"come on Cass we can't leave Bobby waiting"
"okay"
We got out of the car and made our way to the front door Cass holding onto my jacket behind me, I knocked on the door three times
"hold your bloody horses I'll be there in a minute"
After a few seconds Bobby opened the door
"good to see you boy"
"good to see you too Bobby"
We embraced each other in a hug
"so who's this" he said pointing towards Cass
"Bobby meet Cass, Cass Bobby"
"Uh huh"
"neh ne nice to meet you" Cass poked
he's head out from behind me
"what's wrong boy, why you hiding"
He reached out to touch him, but i put my arm out
"he's just really scared of new people"
"okay, so what was so important that you drove all the way out here"
"okay so here we go" I talked him through the past few days, skipping the kiss and sharing a bed
"so what does that have to do with me"
"We need your help, we need to get somewhere safe, somewhere can lay low till this all blows over"
"you cant hide from the UPC, thats near impossible"
"oh no" I felt Casses body shake behind me
"aye no need to get so emotional, I said its near impossible not impossible" he chuckled and sat back down onto he's chair
"so your safest bet would be to just go straight to the eastern seaboard, you'll find that there's a small group underground people's smugglers in the town Tacoma"
"what do we tell them"
"the truth"
"oh okay"
"now it's late and I'm old, I'm going to bed" with that he got up and left me and Cass alone
"he seems nice"
"he is, he's like a father to me"
"oh thats good"
"it sure is now, follow me i gotta show you something"
"okay" he let one of hes nervous smiles out that just filled me with joy
Castiels Pov
Dean led me upstairs, to a room, it had a single bed in the corner and posters of bands strung along the walls
"what room is this"
"my old bedroom you like it?"
"its very nice dean" i chuckled as he look at the floor with a goofy grin
"Bobby never reranges anything so its been this way since i was younger, its the only real home ive ever known"
We sat on the bed next to each other
"Dean, if you dont mind me asking, why didnt you live with your family while you were growing up"
Dean instantly stiffened and started to fiddle with hes hands
"its a long story Cassy, i guess the best place to start is with my mum and older brother Adam, they worked for the UPC, the were partners in charge of segregation of species and to maintain peice, amongst the segregations, the were amazing both so strong, the were my idols, especially my mum she was so beautiful and passionate, but then the got ordered to investigate a disturbance in the south, it was out of their duristriction the shouldve never been there, the the, got caught in the crossfire of a feud, the didnt make it, and like usual the UPC tried to put the blame onto the half, breeds when i was young i belived that but now i know it was the UPC fualt not the half breeds, the shouldve never of been there to get shot"
"thats awful dean, im so sorry" i put my arm over him nornally i wasnt one to take the move for a gesture of affection but i knew dean needed it
"Thanks Cas, anyway my father john, couldnt handle it loosing his son and wife in one day, he never recovered instead he grew to hate the Half breeds he believed everything that the UPC told him, in fact thats where he is now, hes a commander, worked hard hours to reach hes rank, he wasnt around to raise us, so Bobby took it on himself to raise, us, Sammy was still young when all of this happened so he dosent properly understand all that has happened, so he has taken it alot better then me, i still cant sleep properly ever since i heard what happened ive had horrible nightmares, but ive learnt to deal with it'
I felt the tears running down my face, how could such an amazing person, be treated so poorly by the world how is this fair, i started to cry harder, whats wrong with this world ill probably never know, but im going to do the best i can to protect dean, i may not be strong or smart but im not going to let him get hurt
"Cas why are you crying"
"im sorry dean, but i cant help it"
"hey, hey, its okay, comehere and give me a hug you big teddy bear"
I didnt need to be told again, i wraped my arms around him afraid that if i ever let go, the world may steal him away from me, dean layed us down and he started to run his fingers through my hair
"Cas, can you remember anything about your past yet"
I looked over up over his chest at him, he was staring down at me, the moon bouncing off hes perfectly green eyes
"no, not yet i keep trying, but my head just dosent seem to want to co-operate sometimes things seen familiar but never come to mind"
"Maybe something will trigger it, although i woudnt mind you being clueless most of the time, the faces you pull are really cute"
"oh umh thanks i guess"
"haha no prob, we should probably being getting to bed, Bobby will probbaly want us up and early tomorow so we can start sorting our travel out"
"okay"
"goodnight, Cassy"
"night... Honey"
