I'm With You

Chapter 10

Chapter 10 (started 10/27/2017)

Nicole sat at her sowing machine working on the dress she'd be wearing in just a few short hours while the employees in the front locked up and closed for the evening. It had been nothing but long nights and exhausting days working on her dress as well as keeping everything together. Meanwhile Luke was rehearsing and learning choreography for the upcoming tour that T.O.U.C.H would be on. She sighed heavily, thinking that things would start to becoming easier when in fact it seemed to only get harder the closer the day for Luke leaving came. He would be gone for two months before the group performed in France where Nicole could see them then another few weeks before she could see them again, so on and so forth for the next six months.

A knock stirred Nicole from her thoughts and she figured even with it not being perfect it would work for one night, she grabbed the dress off the sowing machine and ran to the door.

"Whenever you're ready ma'am, I'm here to take you to the album party." The driver opened the door for Nicole while she carried the dress and her shoes out to the car. During the drive Nicole quickly changed trying her harder not to show the driver anything that might cause an accident while he drove to the venue. Once they arrived she pulled her hair back, twisting it around and pinning it up. Some of the curls fell down so she tuck them behind her ears before grabbing a simple pair of earrings out of her clutch and putting them in her ears. She breathed heavily before walking over to a tall man with a headset and a clipboard she gave him her name and he let her in.

Thousands of bright flashes practically blinded her as she ran past models, actors, and singers to get inside so that she could she Luke and the others and apologize for showing up a little late. Her heart was pounding from all the rushing and getting ready but she knew once she saw Luke and was in his arms and they could celebrate one last time before the band was to leave to go on tour and not be able to see each other for the next three weeks while the group toured parts of Asia. Once inside the building she walked down a crowded hallway pushing past some of the other members of T.O.U.C.H. They greeted and smiled.

"Hey sexy," Zach said not able to take his eyes of Nicole, even with his date standing right next to him.

"Thank you, have any of you guys seen Luke? He wanted to spend the night together."

"Tell me when you're gonna run away with me first."

Nicole blushed and giggled while shaking her head, she liked that with meeting Luke she'd got to meet his friends as well. They were always nice to her and put a smile on her face even if they only got to see each other every once in awhile. "Luke might have a problem sharing."

"Yeah? He went down the hall to the bathroom."

"Okay. See ya later."

She walked down what felt like fifty different hallways before she came to a room with the light on through the doorway, she jogged up to the door before pushing the door open further and gasping.

Her heart literally shattered as she watched Luke and Cassandra kissing in front of her. Cassandra had her hands all over him. Without a moment's hesitation she turned back down the hall the way she came in and left not caring that Luke pulled away from Cassandra after seeing her standing at the doorway. She couldn't believe she actually thought Luke was different or that it would work with him, for goodness sake he was a singer after all which meant he probably had women all over the world being led on by him. Not her, not anymore. She blocked out his voice calling her name and ran like she'd never ran before, anything to put as much distance between Luke and her. Even the flashing camera lights couldn't stop her, she didn't care she was going to be one the first flight out of there and straight home where he'd never be able to find her.
