Rose Quartz - Unisex

:SPOILER WARNING:

You sit in front of the obsidian temple. The sound of the waves lapping up against the shore calms you as you lay down, covered in crystal-like sand. Your hands rest up against the Rose Quartz gem on your navel. You breathe in and out slowly, thinking about your mother, the one who owned the gem on your stomach. Her long pink hair, her beautiful dress, her loving eyes, its like she is there with you, laying on the shores of beach city. 

Before you can drift off for a quick nap, you hear footsteps crunch in the sand. You look to the left to see Garnet who has sat down next to you. 

"Y/N, you're thinking about her; aren't you?" 

"How can I not Garnet? I took her away from you! From Pearl! From Amethyst! From Dad! From EVERYBODY! Everything's my fault!" Tears begin to fall down your face and you bury your head in your hands. 

All of a sudden you hear a familiar sound and instead of garnet sitting beside you, two much smaller gems are there instead. Sapphire and Ruby appear, holding hands of course, and begin to hug you. Your emotions overwhelm you and you begin to sob.

After fusing again, Garnet takes you inside the temple. It's as messy as ever. Crying breakfast Friends action figures litter the floor, the content of your favourite hamburger backpack are scattered everywhere and some of the junk from Amethysts room has leaked into the living room. For some odd reason it comforts you. 

"Y/N!" You hear Amethyst shout from an unknown part of the room. All of a sudden, a tiny bird flies onto your shoulder. The bird is purple and has a lilac Amethyst gem on its chest. 

"Hi amethyst! Can I ask why you're a bird?"

Amethyst shape shifts back to her regular self. "Honesty being a bird rocks! I get to fly, sing and best of all... eat worms!" She smiled at you and burps ironically.

"Amethyst, you know worms are living creatures too?" Pearl walks into the room with her hands on her hips as usual. Amethyst rolls her eyes and uses the gem door to enter her room.

"How are you Y/N? You didn't show up for sword fighting practice and I was very worried! Please tell me when you are going to be absent." You curl up slightly in dismay.

"Pearl..." Garnet puts her hands on your shoulders to comfort you. Pearl looks at garnet defended just as the doorbell rings.

"I'll get it!" Pearl exclaims as she bursts for the door. You question why she is so eager but the answer is clear when the door swings open.

The mysterious girl you met with pearl and amethyst stands in front of you. Her regular plaid shirts was wrapped around her waist and her pink hair was styled nicely.

"We are going to try some coffee. Garnet, can you take care of Steven for me?"

"Can't" Garnet added. "Need to retrieve the Serenity Runes from the temple. It will take me a while."

"Well, what about Amethyst?" Garnet and Pearl looked at each other.

"Y/N, will you be ok alone?" Pearl and Garnet looked worried.

"I'm fine. Really!" You lie.

"Well ok..." Pearl walked out the door but stopped before she reached the stairs. She runs in and gives you a hug. You bear hug her until Mystery girl coughs awkwardly. 

As Pearl walks out the door Garnet grabs your shoulders and turns you around to face her. She removes her mask and you see her worried expression.

"Are you SURE you are going to be ok?" She asks questionably.

"Really. I will be fine." you lie.

As garnet disappears on the warp pad, you walk up the stairs and flop on your bed. You ponder what you should do. Maybe TV? Maybe there is a new episode of Crying Breakfast friends!

"RERUNS!?!" You shout as your least favourite episode plays on screen. You smack the off button on the TV in denial. Maybe the game cube would be fun. I guess lonely blade would be cool."

As you plug in the wires, you hear zapping coming from the game cube. Tiny bolts of electricity blast out of the device and the screen goes black. you groan in annoyance. 

All of a sudden the doorbell rings again. You head to the door. Its Connie! A part of you feels happier when she's around.

"Connie!I missed you so much!" you manage to spit out.

"Y/N, are you ok? you seem really upset." She puts her hand on your shoulder and you invite her inside. you both sit down on the cream couch. After quite a few minutes and many tissues, you've explained yourself. Both of you are raw from crying. 

"Why did you keep this from me Y/N? This is a lot! A lot for even someone as strong as you!"

"I don't know! I didn't want to drag anyone else into this mess. Especially you."

All of a sudden she bear hugs you. It takes you by surprise, but soon you are hugging her back. Tears soak into your clothing. You close your eyes, holding onto the moment.

"OH MY GOSH! Y/N! CONNIE!" You open you eyes quickly. Amethyst is standing by the fridge, wide eyed in shock.

"Whats wrong?" You don't recognize the voice, even though it's you speaking.

"WAIT... CONNIE! Y/N!" You burst into the bathroom and gaze into the mirror. Instead of your reflection looking back, its someone completely different.

The stranger is much taller that you or Connie. She is wearing a mix of connie's dress and your favourite shirt, her denim shorts are a mix of Connie shorts and your jeans, her hair is long and your hair colour, and her eyes reflect both of you. Your new form takes you by surprise 

"did we... no. YES! THIS IS AMAZING!" You start running around the house happily. You have never fused with anyone before. You feel connie freaking out but you calm her.

'Its ok. Is it? yeah this is ok. We're ok. I'm... ok."
