Maria woke up one morning to the sun's light shining on her face. She groaned and turned over, pulling the velvety blankets on her bed over her face. Next thing she knew the annoying sound of her phone's alarm rang in her ears. She groaned once again then reached over to turn off the alarm. Once that was done she pulled the covers back and got ready for school.

Once she had her clothes on and her hair was washed she got downstairs to the dining hall of her father's manor. Maria's father was Marc Spector, the Moon Knight. But right now he wanted to be known as Steven Grant. Steven Grant is one of Marc's many personalities. He manages Marc's rich playboy side which is what makes the small family of two millionaires.  SpectorCorp is the business he runs and soon Maria will inherit.

Maria opened the doors to the dining hall and saw Marc quietly eating some pancakes and reading the paper, his usual morning routine. In the seat next to his was the same meal as him just in smaller portions. Maria sighed then sat next to her father and took a bite of her pancakes. She glanced at her father and got a good look at him. He wore a suit with a light gray jacket and a white tie. She aimed her eyes down to her pate, knowing her father wasn't exactly in the house at the moment. Marc looked up at Maria and smiled.

"Good morning Maria." he said and Maria nodded her head in greeting. Marc's face fell and he sighed then looked back at his paper. Steve, Jake Lockley another personality, and Marc started conversing in his head about what they should do. "Maybe talk to her about what's in the paper?" Steve asked then Jake shook his head "no she is not interested in that." He stated then Marc stepped in "out of the three of us she is closest to you Jake. Can you maybe converse with her?" He asked and Jake sighed then nodded and he quickly took control of the shared head.

Jake cleared his throat in order to gain Maria's attention. Maria glanced up and for the first time in a while, he saw her amber like eyes. Jake smiled then set his fork and paper down and focused fully on the teenage girl. "So you are turning sixteen in a few months-" "Two months." Maria interrupted him. Jake smiled more then grabbed her hand and held it lightly "You have your learners permit and I was curious if you wanted to go buy a car for yourself today?" Jake continued. He saw a light of excitement flash in her eyes and he chuckled. "I'll take that as a yes." He stated then finished his food and got up. He bent down and kissed her head then walked into the kitchen "I will take you to school today Maria. Finish up your food quickly." He stated as he put his plate in the sink and walked out. Maria nodded then finished her food. She cleaned up her dishes and walked to the front room where her backpack laid and Marc stood waiting.

Maria sat in the passenger seat of her father's white limo. Her head rested on the leather headrest and she watched the buildings, people, and tree's pass by. Jake looked at her then smiled "Want to be dropped off down the street again?" He asked and Maria silently nodded. Maria didn't want people to know she was rich. She thought it was an embarrassment. Once they were down the street from Maria's school he pulled over and parked. Maria grabbed her bag then opened the door and started to get out of the car until a hand grabbed her arm. Maria looked over her shoulder to see her father had a grip on her arm. "Make it a good day, okay?" He said and Maria nodded. Jake/Marc let go of her and she climbed out of the car then closed the door and went towards her school.

By the time Maria reached her school, it was already crowded. Each student had their own group they were in. There were the popular's, gossiping on celebrities and finding out the newest trends, the Jocks, talking about different ways to exercise and get in shape for the upcoming basketball season, the Artists, trading drawing techniques, and the Smart ones, who study together. Maria, however, had no group. No, she wasn't different or thought she was better than everyone else she was just quiet and not very social. And that is why she is not very close to Marc Spector.

Maria climbed the stairs to her school when she suddenly heard the roar of an engine. She turned around to see a motorcycle pull up. Maria quickly observed the cycle until her brain calculated the model. She knew she had seen it before and her brain concluded it was an H&R Ebacher The One. She rose as an eyebrow as she thought of how a high schooler could get ahold of a such an expensive bike. Soon enough she found herself staring and she decided to focus on the rider. He wore a black leather jacket with a white t-shirt underneath. Chains led from his front pocket to his back pocket and he wore simple blue jeans. He had raven black hair that was slicked back and deep brown eyes that had a certain fire in them. For only a moment, they made eye contact. Maria heard the whispers of the girls around her and knew they were talking about the new kid. She huffed then turned around. Maria only got up a few steps before hearing rapid footsteps behind her then a hand grabs her shoulder.
