After a moment of debating i decided to go left it looked much more promising and i was certain it was the direction i went to get here. after only 5 minutes of walking the bramble bushes beside me rustled and i heard someone suck in a deep breath like they'd been injured by the sharp thorns adorning the bush. I stepped as close as I could get without getting pricked on them myself. i peered into the fog which proved to be futile. with a sigh i continued on not getting very far before feeling someone collide hard with me sending me tumbling across the leaves, rocks, and twigs. the perpetrator got off of me as fast as they collided with me it took me all but a second to figure out that it was the kid from earlier.
I scrambled to my feet looking around. everything was still, so i took the time to look over my arms and knees. luckily nothing had scraped me on the way down i looked up just in time to see the person from earlier coming at me again, I braced myself for the hit. their body collided with mine and i made a point to hook my leg around them as we hit the floor rolling us so i had the upper hand. they struggled wildly beneath me i barely got a moment to get a good look at what i was now certain was a guy and a creepy one at that before he threw me off of him and darted into the treeline once again. i sat back taking the time to ingrain the details of him into my mind.
this boy, no this man wore a yellow-brownish jacket with buttons on the shoulder, dark jeans, and the strangest detail of all a white mask with black eyes and lips. it made my blood run cold;why was he wearing that mask? then again if i was going to go around taking photos of people without their permission like a creeper id probably want a mask too. I got up dusting myself off and continuing to walk i was lucky i hadn't sustained any injuries in our little tussle. without any more incidents i managed to find my way back to the road where sure enough there lie my backpack with everything like i left it and i still had time to make my last morning class on time! i booked it to school determined not to stop for anything. i slid into the old brown desk next to my best friend (b/f/n). they looked at me rather irritatedly.
"you could have at least told me you were gonna ditch. then i couldve come with and we couldve gotten coffee or something." they pouted
i locked my eyes on the proffesor knowing they were strict about talking in class.
"it wasnt willingly. ill explain later"
i turned to them seeing a confused look on their face before i could turn back to look at the professor i heard someone up front clear their voice. i hoped it wasn't the professor but that hope was squashed as i heard her grating voice
"miss l/n. first youre late to my class looking like an absolute mess might i add and now youre talking! what is so crucial that you must discuss it during class?"
i paused for a moment my excuse needs to be good,i ran over the events that transpired this morning and came up with a simple lie.
"i was mugged this morning and b/f/n here wanted to make sure i was ok as they couldnt reach me by text since my phone was stolen."
she looked pale and shrank a bit as a few other students eyes trained on her glaring daggers.
"oh.. well im terribly sorry to hear that. but um lets get back to the lesson shall we?"
I nodded and she began again. i decided it best to hold my tongue until after class. as we exited the class (b/f/n) began questioning me as they walked me home and i did my best to explain it well at least the believable parts.
