Snow POV

When we got back from the mall, Ashslav and I carried the shopping bags and the bucket of paint inside then put the cooler of blood in the fridge on our way upstairs to my room. I was hungry agian but I didn't feel comfortable to just do what I wanted without asking Ashslav, he seems really nice but I don't want to overstep my boundaries.

Ashslav was standing up by the closet hanging all the clothes while I sat on a chair by my bed handing him hangers.

"So after this I'm going to bed but you don't have to if you don't want, so is there anything I have to know about vampires that I don't know?" Ashslav asked me suddenly, but he didn't stop what he was doing.

"Um I don't know, well we can tolerate the sun but we don't necessary like it all the time. We have to eat about three to four pints of blood a day to be healthy." I think that's it, there wasn't much to know.

"Yeah ok, how many pints were in the bags of blood you drank? Did you have enough or are you hungry? You can go get a snack" it's like he knew what I was thinking, very weird.

"I'm kind of hungry, but I can last until tomorrow" I rushed out. Ashslav grabbed the last piece of clothes emptying the shopping bag then folding it up. Shutting the closet when he hung the last hanger Ashslav turned to me.

"No go ahead if your hungry, I'll be in my room if you need me." Ashslav walked away to his room I assume. I quickly shuffled out the room to the kitchen fridge. Opening the cooler lid and watching the liquid move around my fangs extended, I bit the bag letting the blood touch my fangs and tilted my head back letting the blood flow down my throat. When I sucked it all gone I discarded the empty package in the trash and headed back up the steps. As I neared the top I heard Ashslav's voice talking, I thought he was talking to himself but I realized he must of had a cell phone on him. I peeked through the crack in his door, he was sitting at his desk like last time but had one of his legs over his other thighs.

"No you can't come why because well I'm busy, I'll be gone out of state yeah that's it I won't be home," Ashslav lied to whomever was on the other end. He stoped talking to listen to the other person saying something, "How can you tell I'm lying? All right but you must respect my house and whoever's in it! No, no meaning to it or course I'm not lying, yeah bye see you all soon." He breathed in a sigh of relief as he hung up the phone. I decided to make my presence known. I didn't want to be caught eavesdropping, I gave a light tap on the door, Ashslav faced his body to the door.

"Come in!" He spoke gently then I nudged the door open with my hand, "Did you hear that?" I nodded and lowered my head in shame.

"Sorry I just came to say goodnight." I whispered.

"Ah I guess it's alright, I was going to tell you tomorrow but now is fine too. My brothers are visiting tomorrow I tried to get them to come another time but they are relentless." Ashslav shook his head in frustration.

"Are you ashamed of me? You can always take me back." As the words left my mouth I regretted it instantly.

"No," Ashslav barked at me, "I mean no i'm not going to take you back, you staying with me. If that's what you want? I'm not ashamed of you I'm just worried about how my brothers will react, I don't want to cause problems. Don't get me wrong I love them, but I won't get rid of you because of them!" He words instantly warmed my heart. I tried to hide my smile but it showed through, I walked over to Ashslav and knelt down in front of him. He looked at me questionably, I bowed low and spoke.

"Thank you for saying that, your truly a nice person. I will do anything you want for tomorrow." Ashslav looked surprised I said that.

"Thank you for offering, but I won't hurt you for anyone. Just be yourself!" Ashslav smiled at me and put his hands on my shoulders, "Let's go to sleep, do you want to sleep in your room or mine?" I didn't want to intrude but I slept great yesterday.

"If that's ok with you, yours?" He shut off the light in his room but thankfully for him, the moon was in the sky shining some light in his window for navigation. I walked to his bed awkwardly as he got under the covers.

"Come under the covers, last night I didn't want to wake you!" Ashslav beckoned me to do so, I lifted the covers and slid in trying not to jostle the bed around. Laying on my back I stayed awake until I heard Ashslav breathing and snoring lightly. Looking over at him he had one arm above his head and the other on his stomach, his lips were parted as were his legs. Soon I found myself drawn to his warmth and was snuggled up to his side, when I was comfortable I closed my eyes.
