NATSU and Lucy traveled the dance floor, elegantly passing by the crowd. Despite everything being in his favor, the prince, felt as if, something wasn't right. There was just something about the slight differences in Lucy, that made that fact all the more clear. When Lucy would gaze up him, she'd subconsciously nip at her lips. It was a habit of hers that he knew very well. She did it practically all the time. Especially during her summer dance classes. But now? She wasn't doing any of that.

It may have been a tiny detail, but to him, it was important.

He couldn't help but speak his mind. "Something about you seems," they stopped, their hands dropping and letting go of the other. He struggled to say the right words. "Ugh, I don't know, different." His eyes slowly went to take in hers, but they darted away.

He heard the smallest clink and looked down to see that Lucy had brought out her locket. The one he'd given to her at her christening. "Don't worry, after tonight, everything will be perfect." she moved her hands to bring the locket closer to him. He grabbed onto the necklace and put it around her nape.

"Yes, yes of course," he chuckled, taking her hand to once again dance.

As they spun around, he discreetly tapped Igneel on the shoulder. "Igneel! I wanna make an announcement! Stop the music!" Igneel nodded and curtly waved his hands at the musicians. They silenced themselves. All except the flutist, who continued playing, until the drummer smacked the man on his head to make him stop.

Lucy panted as she flew as fast as she could towards the castle. She couldn't help but worry. Carla's disguise was uncanny, no flaw, she was the perfect replica of her. No matter what, she doubted Natsu wouldn't be fooled by her. He'd be too caught up in the party and the vow to even think that it could've been someone else entirely different.

She just hoped she'd make it in time.

Natsu and the blonde bowed to each other as they ended their dance. The guests loved their performance, and clapped as loud as they could. They linked arms and started to go to the center of the people. Natsu wanted to be heard by everyone when he said it. He wanted to make sure, that no one would ever doubt his love for Lucy again. But above all else, he wanted that rotten sorcerer to hear him, and know that he had failed, and that he and Lucy stood strong against him.

He was going to break this curse, no matter what.

Lucy had finally made it to the castle. She was out of breath and filthy from all the dirt, grime, mud, and dew, and came into contact with during her haste. But, at least she made it. Within a heartbeat she was trying every possible place to get in. Knowing the Dragneel's, they'd locked everything. Where could she find an entrance that was obscure enough that the Dragneel's wouldn't even think of locking?
