NATSU marched up to Jose, an animistic rage sparking deep within him. Jose, this man, was the cause of his lover's death. She was gone, because this incompetent fool, wanted her kingdom. This petty man, would kill the most wonderful princess in all the land, just for her kingdom? Lucy was worth more than one million kingdoms, and Jose would gladly kill her for just one. It was all his fault! She was gone! Because of him!

"Don't let her die!" Natsu walked up to him, his cape whisking behind him like a kite.

Jose remained motionless. "Is that a threat?"

Natsu grabbed onto his clothes, thrashing him around angrily. "Don't you dare let her die!"

"Ooh, it is a threat." he held his hands in the air, looking down at the prince bemusedly.

The male did not falter, and shouted, "You're the only one with the power, now do it!"

Jose pushed him down, a glint in his eyes as he glared at him.

"Only if you defeat ME!"

He threw his arms to his sides, and sparks started dancing in his palms. Those sparks reminded Natsu of something. Yes...that night of the ball, in the woods! He saw some of those sparks, only for a second. They were on King Jude's crown. His thoughts were interrupted when the sparks grew bigger. Jose swung his arms near the ground, and the embers in his hands, flew to his feet, only to ignite his whole body. The light was blinding.

When the light dimmed, and no longer covered Jose's body, Natsu was shocked.

There, before him, stood a huge bat monster. It shrieked and flapped it's see through green wings. It's eyes were even more yellow than he'd imagined. And beadier too. He was so huge, bigger than the tall ballroom doors, that's for sure. His wings were so large, they created their own gust of wind. The air whipped against Natsu's shocked face.

"The great animal," Natsu muttered.

From a small distance, Loke muttered, "I'm betting on the animal,"

Romeo turned to him with that look.

Without a moment to spare Natsu pulled out his sword and charged

Without a moment to spare Natsu pulled out his sword and charged. Jose, sadly, perched on top of him, his claws digging into the prince's shoulders. The sword fell out of his hand, but he wouldn't give up. He reached out and grabbed some dirt, then with a fury like never before, he flung it into the beast's beady yellow eyes. The creature shrieked, this time in pain, and laid his head back. While he was distracted Natsu scrambled for his sword, and made a swipe at Jose. He hit him in the shoulder, very close to the nape.
