Is he dead, Gwen...?

The rest of the day wasn't very eventful. Soon enough, everyone went to bed while David and Daniel stayed up.

"Alright, babe. I want you to do something for me." Daniel gave him an extra pair of clothes. "Just through the woods, there's a cabin. The people in the cabin tried to put me in jail. Could you please take care of them? I'll go with you."
David quickly changed into the other pair of clothes. "Sure! What do I do??"
Daniel smirked, picking up an axe. "You take this and kill them."
David's eyes widened. "B-But Daniel! I-i don't wanna kill anyone...."
Daniel glared at him. "You agreed to do anything I told you to."
David looked down. "But... Killing someone..."
Daniel smiled. "I'll be with you."
David nodded. "O-okay..."

Daniel led David out of the cabin and through the woods. And there really was a cabin there. Daniel opened the door and let David in. David looked around the inside. "No one's here..." Daniel closed the door behind him and locked it. "Let me see the axe."
David shook his head. "N-no..."
"Fine. If you wanna be that way..." Daniel pulled out his dagger and tackled David. Once Daniel started stabbing David, he's laughed over David's cries. "YOU PATHETIC PIECE OF SHIT." Daniel yelled. Once David blacked out, Daniel stood up and ran to the camp. "GWEN! GWEN! HELP! DAVID'S DYING!" He yelled.
Gwen ran out of her cabin. "WHAT?!" Daniel and Gwen ran to the cabin in the woods. Max silently followed.
Gwen opened the door. "DAVID!" She called the ambulance. "Please hurry! My co-councilor is dying!" She looked at Daniel. "They'll be here in ten minutes. Add pressure to his wounds." Gwen put pressure on David's wounds.
Daniel growled and did the same.
Max watched from the doorway, tears streaming down his face. "David..." He whispered.
Soon, David, Gwen, Max, and Daniel were taken to the hospital. David was taken in for treatment while the others stayed in the guest room.
Gwen looked at Max. "You should have stayed in your tent."
Max hugged his teddy bear(I forgot it's name;-;). "Is David dead...?"
Gwen shook her head. "N-no! He's perfectly fine, sweetie. He'll wake up soon."
Max nodded, leaning against Gwen. "Gwen... can I talk to you outside?"
"Of course!" Gwen led Max outside.
"I think Daniel did this."
"I do, too, Max. I'm not gonna lie..."

Max looked inside, seeing the doctor. He gasped and ran inside.

The doctor spoke. "David isn't waking up. He fell into a coma... You can go visit him."
Max fell to his knees, sobbing. "He's not gonna wake up... he's dead..."

I now Max doesn't really act like the cannon Max, but I headcannon that he's more protective of David after the parents day ep. He sees David as a father.
