rich povthe week had gone by slow. me and eddie have our little meetings in the bathroom almost every day. it's free time, which is at the end of the day. ben was finally back, he said he was fighting a tough battle with a cold, but i think his mom made him stay home. he probably could have come to school. eddie walks up to the table me and the gang were sitting. "hey ed's, you think your mom will let you stay over at my house?" i ask as he sits beside me, putting his books in his book bag. "maybe, i'll have to ask," i nod and i look at bill. he gives a suspicious look at me, then eddie. "what b-b-bill? can i not hang out with my spaghetti?" i say purposely stuttering his name. he just shakes his head. he doesn't know right? no, he doesn't. i hope. the final bell rings and we all start to gather our stuff. "i'll know if you're able to come," i say looking at ed's. "if you show up you can; if you don't you can't." i grad my math notebook and put it into my book bag. i start to walk with the losers to the front doors.
"yeah, i guess that's true." he said looking back at me, a small smile on his lips. we all walk the our bikes that were laying on the ground. other than stan's bike. i'm not too sure why he doesn't just drop it on the ground like the rest of us. i pick it up and throw my leg over the seat of my bike and sit. i push my legs in front of me, making me back up. we all begin to pedal off down the street. we were all quiet. a little too quiet for my liking. "so bill, what are you gonna do this weekend?" i ask looking at the back of his head. he just shrugs. "m-maybe hang out w-with stan," he says looking back at me. "wh-what about th-the rest of you, l-losers?" he asks looking over at ben and eddie. "i might go to trash mouth's house, what about you stan?" "i might hang out with bill, if he wants." stan says quietly. "i'll probably go to the library," ben says looking over his shoulder to see us behind him. "boring! man ben, do you ever do anything exotic other than look at exotic things that's already happened?" i ask, trying to get a convo going. "um yeah i do, so uh, yeah." he really doesn't and we all know it,
"pshh bull shit, ben. we all know you don't do an over than sit in a library all day" i say looking back at the road. "i do not!" "do to," "do no!" it went on like this for a few more seconds before stan says bye and pulls into his driveway. soon after bill does the same. ben also says bye. now it just me and eddie. "so lover, what do you wanna do? that's if you're actually coming," i say looking over at him. "i'm not too sure in all honesty. maybe read some more comics? like we did the last time we had a sleepover together," he suggested his hair bouncing up and down. "yeah, that could work." silence. we both pull up into eddies drive way. "i'll probably see you soon, ok?" he says getting off of his bike dropping it like he always does. "yeah, totally." i say smiling at him. "see you later, lover." he smiles and walks up to the door and goes in. great. now i have to clean my room.
