CHAPTER 18

Recap

Zara's back in Korea. She didn't come back alone. She came with her son, Hyuk. They bump into Kang at an icecream shop. Zara also found out about Chang's father.

-ZARA'S POV-

Convincing Doctor Kim wasn't easy. We had a 2 hours talk about this. But I got to say that it was worth it. Good thing that Doctor Kim is also my father's bestfriend.

~Flash Back~

"Please, let me take care of him. I promise to not disappoint you."

"Zara, you can't do this. This will go against the law. Chang will find out and I'll be in trouble....big trouble."

"I promise that I'll take full responsibility. All we have to do is not let Chang know about this." I went to Uncle Kim's side and beg him.

"Zara, I love you as if you're daughter, but I can't let you do this. Chang will be mad and you know how he's like when he's mad. I don't want you to be in trouble too. I can't risk this."

"Uncle, please let me show Chang that it wasn't my father's fault. My father didn't murder Chang's mother. Please uncle let me show Chang what's right and what's wrong." I got on my knees and start to beg.

"Please let me watch over Mr. Ji. I promise to not tell anyone and to be very careful."

"Get up Zara."

"No not unless you let me take care of Mr. Ji."

Uncle Kim took in a deep breath before sighing.

"Okay....you can watch over him."

I look up at Uncle Kim. I smile and went to go hug him.

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank so much."

"You're one stubborn girl, Zara. You and Chang are so stubborn. Just please be careful. But be aware that Chang sometimes come and visit his father. He sometimes spend the night here. So be very careful."

~Flash Back ENDS~

Now I'm in the room with Mr. Ji. I know that he will wake up. I just know he will eventually wake up one day.

I'm not sure if I should call him appa or not. But because of what happened I'll just call him Mr. Ji.

I've also been taking care of him for a couple of days now and he seems to look more lively each day.

"Mr. Ji, can you hear me. I don't know if you can but please wake up. Change needs you, he really need you in his life. Please wake up."

I sat there for a while before getting up and went to the bathroom to get a bowl of warm water and a clean cloth to wipe Mr. Ji.

I went to the sink and got some warm water. I was about to walk out of bathroom corner when I hear the door click.

I quickly get behind the wall when a man in a grey goodie with a black mask and sunglasses walk in.

I peek out of the corner to see who it was. The man in the grey hoodie took off his sunglass and mask and set them on top of the lamp stand.

When I see who it was I almost drop the bowl of warm water onto the ground.

Chang.

"What is he doing here? Why does he have to come now?! Why in the world is he hiding himself?!" I mentally yell to myself.
