Chapter II: Play-Date

I finally found the dining room after going around in circles through the corridors, the dining room was filled with sorts of foods, and sitting there was Hale, Nicholas and a little girl, she is so cute, she is like a living doll, maybe she is Nina. I then noticed that everybody was looking at me, I got a little shy. Nicholas smiled at me and said:

"Penelope! Finally, take a sit wherever you like."

I nod and sat next to the little girl. She seems to be really quiet, and so I smiled at her, but she remains stoned-face. Nicholas introduced me to her.

"That little girl is Nina, Nina she is Penelope, she will be your new nanny."

Nina's stoned-face turned into a creepy smiling face, which kinda've creeped me.

"Oh, really? Will she do everything I say?"

I smiled at her and said:

"Yes of course, I will also be with you every time you need me, I will play with you, and I will take care of you."

She smirks. And began to stay silent again.

"Penelope, I will be leaving tomorrow for our family's business, you will have to stay with Hale and Nina until I come back."

I forced a smile, not to mention that it will seriously be bad when I'm with Hale.

"Sure, I'm sure we'll get along good."

"Thank you for understanding Penelope, and as for you Hale, be good, I don't want you causing trouble to Penelope."

without saying something Hale suddenly left the dining room, and Nina followed him.

"Sorry for that Penelope, I can't control my brother really well."

"That's fine, I'll be doing the dishes now, then I will go back straight to my room."

Nicholas gave me a smile of relief and left the dining room too.

When I finished tidying up, I try to find my way back to the room. But when I was passing through a creepy corridor, I heard noises of an animal, like it's being tortured, I tried to go near it and then-

"Hello there, little thing, you shouldn't be wandering off at night."

It was the jerk.

"I was about to go to my room."

So I ignored the jerk, ignored the noises and went back to my room fast.

Somehow, I can't sleep, maybe because of the nightmare last time or because of the noises, am I paranoid or there is something wrong with this family. I should really rest my head now.

*next day*

It's morning now, I decided to take a shower first and wear presentable clothing before I go down the dining room. As I arrive, Nina was playing with her cute little doll, which actually looks like her. And there is Hale sleeping at a chair. I asked Nina where Nicholas is, but she stayed silent. I remembered that Nicholas was out for business. Then I ate a little first and asked Nina:

"Nina, as I promised you last night that I'm going to play with you, what do you want to do?"

She smiled and said:

"Well, you really look beautiful and I love what you wear, maybe we can play dress up in my room?"

I was flattered by what the little girl said and I smiled at her.

"Thank you for the compliment, you too are beautiful you know? Let's go and play now!"

She smiled and hold my hand, she lead the way, but as we were about to exit the dining room she said:

"I want Hale to join us play!"

Suddenly Hale woke up and smiled at Nina and me,

"Sure, baby girl."

I got a feeling that this is going to be bad.

When we entered the room of Nina, I gotta say that this kid really loves the color red. Almost everything in her room is red. She then told me and Hale to sit on the chair.

"But Nina, there's only one chair!"

"Then you can sit on brother's lap"

I was shocked with what the little girl said

"Whaa..."

I haven't finished what I was about to say but Hale grabbed my arm, and made me sit on his lap. I think my face had gone red. And Hale chuckled. I was falling from Hale's lap, so he crossed his arms for me to not fall. My heart was racing, his body fragrance was hypnotic, and his eyes were just mystic. Then Nina smiled and said:

"Today I assign you both to be husband and wife! I will be your beautiful daughter, and I will be showing to you both my collection of outfits."

Nina went to her giant closet and we waited for her to model her outfits. While Nina was changing, I noticed that I can't take my eyes off of Hale, our eyes were both locked to each other, I feel like I'm in a spell that can't be removed. My heart is racing, I think.. I... want...to...

"Ouch!"

Hale just hit my head.

"Looks like my little thing is thinking of something, can't you see that there's a child here?"

I was ashamed of myself, and humiliated, what just came in my mind to do that?! I remain silent in Hale's arms then he whispered:

"You know my little thing we can just do that in your room"

I was flustered, I think I'm really red now! I don't even like him, don't I? And all he did was give a chuckle. Ugh... this boy is really getting in my nerves. And what did he said? My little thing? I'm not a toy and nobody owns me! I made an angry face at Hale.

"Ta Da!!!"

Nina was already finished, she looked really cute, and to mention, her fashion sense is really nice. Somehow my hate turned into joy seeing the little girl having fun, I closed my eyes and smiled. The two looked shocked, I was confused.

"Um.. Why?"

"You have such a beautiful smile!"

The little girl said, I was flattered, Hale smiled at me sweetly. And I was obviously red again.
