(Eli's Pov)~3 years later~

"no" I said, taking a drag from the cigarette in between my fingers and texting my dad a reply to his message."eli come on, youre 17 you cant stay a virgin forever" "daniel, no please stop, im not ready, plus, I have school to worry about, unlike you mr.dropout"

"fine, you win, now give me my cigarette back" I chuckled and took another drag from it, then handed it back and blew the smoke in his face. "thanks" he said, fanning it away.

my dads would kill me if they new I smoked. conidering you have to be 18 to legally smoke but whatever. dont ask me how I got into it, it just happened.

"uhg, I gotta go danny, my dad is being a bitch" "aww ok" "wait" I took the cig from him and took one last drag, the puffed the smoke into the cool fall air. he chuckled and gave me a small kiss, the took the cig back.

I waved to him as I walked away, the frost covered grass crunching under my feet.

I stepped In the house and my dad looked at me. "eli you need to stop this" "stop what?" "this additude, its stupid!" he said, walking up to me. "and? can I like... go to my room now?"

my dad just stared at me with the most dissapriving look on  his face, "your breah smells like smoke" "and?" "were you smoking? eli what the hell?!" "I can do whatever I want dad godammit! stop treating me like im the 3 year old In this family! god mari has more freedom than I do and he can hardly walk yet!" "because mari dosent smoke. youre grounded" "god I hate you!" I said storming off to my room.

perfect. I sighed and walked downstairs where ben was teaching mari the differnt shapes. I smiled. "gosh someone get the camera" ben looked up at me and smiled.

mari chuckled and crawled over to me "daddy!" he said. both ben and I looked at him shocked. "did he just....?" "yep"

mari was always shy to start talking, that was the firat word we've heard out of his mouth so far. I smiled and picked him up. "hey buddy, whats up?" he just smiled at me and poked me on the nose

ben chuckled and walked up to me. "sounds like eli is a little ball of sun shine today" "she was smoking..." "wow, I think that may be my fault... ive been quite the influence on her huh?" "dont blame yourself ben, its daniel thats doing this."

"something always seemed off about him..." "yeah, ill be back, the little on looks tired." we both looked at marshall who was now cuddled against my sholder with his little eyes closed.

"ok" I walked upstairs and eli and I crossed paths. she glared at me then walked to the kitchen and downstairs. oh perfect.

I took marshall to his little bed, which was by the way still in ben and I's room. were thinking of moving because this house simply cant hold a family of four. I laid him down and tucked him in, then went back downstairs to the basement.

eli was at the computer typing something. I went up to her. "whacha doing?" "homework" she snarled."eli loose the additude"

she ignored me and i sighed then went over to ben. he was on his laptop. "hey link, look at this" he showed me the screen."this house isnt far from here, it just behind the school." "hm..." I took the laptop from him and looked at the screen, then scrolled down and read the description."wow... this is like, perfect." "they have and open house on saturday if you wanna go" "thats In two days and there isnt anythig planned that day so I dont see why not" he smiled

"I sorta have a feeling this will be the one" "yeah" "wait, we're moving?" eli asked, turning around In her chair. "its just behind the school and I dont even know if were going to buy it yet eli, this house it too small for a family of four" "then ill leave, problem solved" "no. you arent leaving because 1, you arent old enough and 2, the way youve been acting youll be wolf food on the first day" "ill live with daniel" "no" ben chimed in. eli sighed In defete and went back to her homework.

I turned my attention back to ben and he closed his laptop lid. "dont stress yourself out link.." i sighed. "im trying not to..."

ben gave me a light kiss.

(Elis Pov)

I didnt have much homework that night, thank god, and I finished it rather quickly. I may be a rebel at heart but I at least want to finish school.

im sick of everyone treating me like a little loser, im sick of everyone treating me like a child too. more specifically my parents. im 17. they need to get that through their heads.

10th grade sucks though. its boring and I cant wait till its over. my dads were talking about getting a new bouse again when I clicked print on the document. "we're getting a pool?" I asked them, standing up from the chair and walki nover to the printer "quite possibly, it comes with the house we were looking at."

I nodded and then took the printouts off the tray then walked past them towards the stairs "cool" I said, going up to my room.

"since when does she care?" "now I guess" I responded, resting my head on bens shoulder. he chuckled "are you tired?" "meh, its been a long day..." "then you should go sleep. I dont like it when your tired, I like it when your happy and smiling" a smile formed on my lips and he smiled back "like that!"

I chuckled "fine, but im taking a shower first" "ok" he kissed me lightly and then I went upstairs.

(bens pov)

41 and I still cant help but look at links ass as he walks away. a small smirk crept across my face and I laid out on the couch.

a new house would be nice, this one is so damn small latly, then again, trying to fit 4 in a house designed for 2 is obviously going to be a hassle.

I seriously cant believe how far we've come... link and i... its crazy. I smiled to myself.

Hes by far the best, yet worst, thing thats ever happened to me. I sighed and decided to head upstairs.

"ben..." a voice whispered. i froze.

"yes?" i asked, sort of sarcastically.

he just stayed silent.

I turned around and he looked me in the eyes, then left.

they were so empty... what the hell happened to him?

Okay, i know DL has always been a pain to link and i, but im actually slightly conserned.He looks terrible. Like, i mean TERRIBLE.

As in, he looks like he got hit by a bus, ran over by a pack of wolves and slept in a river.

ok... that might be a bit overexaggerated but you get it.

I ran up the steps and heard the showerhead on. Sighing, i went to the room.

Im not gonna mention this small encounter with link.

or at least i am until i figure out what the hell is wrong with DL...
