Why can't I be normal?

Chapter 5

Jacob's POV:

I looked for Rebecca all day and couldn't find her. Suddenly school was over and saw her walking out the school. I ran trying to keep up with her then I saw Lucy and Anna trying to beat her up again. I ran over to her and pushed them both to the ground.

"Don't you dare touch her ever again!", I yelled standing in front of Rebecca.

"How could you defend that freak?", Lucy asked standing up quickly.

"She is not a freak! She's better than both you bitches! Now leave!", I yelled.

They looked angry and stomped away. I heard Rebecca groan with pain and helped her up.

"You ok?", I asked helping her stand.

"Yea, I'm fine but why did defend me?", she asked in pain.

"Because I realized they're stuck up bitches and don't need to be caught up in all that shit", I said smiling at her.

"Thanks", she said smiling back.

I was about to say something when I heard a car honk. It was Rebecca's friend's car because she gave me a quick hug and ran to the car. Before she got it in, she waved to me bye and left, leaving me standing there smiling like an idiot.

Rebecca's POV:

On the car ride home, I stared off in space, smiling and I guess Claire noticed because she snapped her fingers to get my attention.

"Why are you smiling? And why were you with that jerk Jacob?", she asked.

"He's not a jerk. He stood up to me in front of Lucy and Anna. I think that was really sweet of him", I said still smiling.

"Uh huh. Is that why your smiling or do you like him?", she asked teasing.

"I don't like him. Plus he has a girlfriend", I said.

"You mean Lucy? The one he called a bitch? I think he's going to break up with her", she said.

"I hope so", I mumbled.

"What's that? Did you say I hope so? You do like him!", she said teasing.

"No I don't! Shut up!", I yelled.

She went quiet and the rest of the car ride home was silent.

"I'm sorry", she said.

"It's fine", I said hugging her and going to my house.

When I got inside, I saw a note on the counter from my mom that read:

Rebecca,
I'm going to be working late tonight, there are frozen pizzas in the fridge. Love you!

"Great, I get to be alone again", I said.

The door bell ringed, when I opened the door Lucy, Anna, Brandon and Daniel holding Jacob tied up, struggling to break free.

Jacob's POV:

I watched Rebecca leave the school until I couldn't see her friend's car anymore. When I couldn't see it anymore, I went to my car and drove home.

When I got home, I was about to go inside when someone threw me to the ground. I looked up to see it was Daniel.

"Hey man, what are you doing", I asked trying to get up but was thrown down again.

"You defend a freak and we can't have that so we're going to pay her a little visit but first we need you", said Lucy coming up behind Daniel along with Brandon and Anna.

Before I could say anything Daniel and Brandon started beating me up. Then everything went black.

Time passed, I woke up and couldn't move my arms or legs or talk. I looked around and it was pitch black, I couldn't see anything.

Then suddenly something opened and Daniel got me out. I saw we were at Rebecca's house and I got a bad feeling about everything so I tried to struggle free but it was no use, Daniel was too strong.

They opened the door and I just saw the fear on Rebecca's face. She tried to closed the door on them but they were too strong even Daniel with one hand holding me (well dragging me).

They pushed the door knocking her down and they walked in with evil smirks on their faces. Daniel threw me on the coach and helped the others beat Rebecca. I could hear her in pain and I struggled to break the tapes off. I finally got the the taps off and stepped in front of Rebecca.

"STOP!", I yelled.

"How did he break free?", asked Lucy angrily.

" I don't know. I thought I taped him tightly", said Daniel.

"Well you didn't dummy", said Brandon shoving Daniel to the ground.

"It doesn't matter what happened! I just need you all to leave!", I yelled angrily.

"Or else what?", Brandon asked smirking.

First I grabbed Lucy and Anna's hair and threw them outside. Then I punched Brandon in the stomach where he grabbed it in pain then kicked him out. Then punch Daniel in the face and threw him out then slammed the door in their faces.

Rebecca's POV:

I just laid there on the floor in pain but really happy because Jacob stood up for me but not just in front of his probably ex girlfriend but his "friends."

I can't believe he stood up for me. He cares about me. He really cares for me! But why? I mean I'm happy that he cares about me but why would he? Why would he care for a looser like me?

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I saw Jacob open the door.

"Oh and Lucy we're done!", he yelled slamming the door again.

He came to me and helped me to the coach.

"I'm so sorry for them. I don't know why I was ever friends with them in the first place", he said sitting next to me.

"It's not your fault. You were friends with them first but then I came along and ruined everything", I said in pain.

"It's not your fault either. I chose to do this and stand up for you because your a better person than any of them will ever be", he said getting up to go to the fridge and brought back an ice pack.

"But now you don't have any friends", I said taking the ice pack.

"What are you talking about? I've got you", he said smiling.

I finally updated! Sorry it's been a while, I just haven't had time like I said last time. But marching band season has ended, I'm sad to say it's over but now I have time to update more. So I made this a little bit longer. Hope you all enjoy!
