| CHAPTER SEVEN |

"Hey, Nina?" Veronica walked into my room as I was doing last minute homework.

"Do you have a minute?"

"Sure." I closed my chemistry textbook.

"What's up?" I turned my body towards her.

"So, you know... No one is going to be home this weekend." She gave me a smirk and I immediately knew what was coming.

"No Veronica you are NOT going to have a party here- "

"But why not?"

"This isn't our actual house! We can't just have a party whenever we want to!"

"Nina, We both need a good time. This is our chance!" I looked at her for a second, thinking about what she just said.

"Ugh fine."

"Good! I already made all the invitations." She dropped a big pile of them next to me on the bed.

"Uh... how many people are you planning on inviting?"

"I know it looks a lot but don't worry. This is a good sized house."

"It's not big enough for this many people-"

"It will be fine!" She grabbed the invitations and blew a kiss before walking out of my room. I plopped myself down on my bed and stared at the ceiling. She's right, we need a good time. We did come here for a fresh start.

"So you're trying to sneak a party here, huh?" Jughead walks into the room with his arms crossed.

"I knew she should've been quieter." I sat up and looked at him.

"How much did you hear?"

"Oh I heard everything." He let out a little laugh and shook his head.

"Look I tried to stop her but it's Veronica. That's just impossible." I got up out of bed and walked over to my closet.

"If you trash this place, it's over." He rolled his eyes and walked out.

He seems a little unhappy all the time. I would ask him what's wrong but I feel like it's not my place to know.

"Oh, Nina?" He peaked his head into my room.

"Yeah?"

"Please don't take 10 years to get ready for school." He smiled and walked back into his room.

"I do not take 10 years!"
