There he was. Since the month of December had finally come, the popular peppermint mocha flavor had escaped from its captivity. Caramel Jungkook had been waiting for this moment.

According to all the other flavours, Jimin - the peppermint mocha flavour- was the most beautiful thing ever created.

"They're not wrong," Jungkook thought. However, he knew that they would never come in contact since no one wants caramel peppermint mocha coffee.

Ever since Jungkook had heard about the infamous peppermint person, he wanted to share a cup with him. He dreamt about him even though the boy had never seen him. Now here he was, sitting on a shelf next to Jimin. He attempted to make simple conversation and impress him with blandishment.

"Greetings peppermint," Jungkook mumbled confusedly. "Way to be smooth, Jungkook!" he internally yelled.

"I think that was pretty smooth," Jimin spoke up while laughing hysterically.

Had he said that aloud? At this point, our protagonist wanted to crawl up in bed and cry. But since he is a coffee flavoring, he doesn't have the ability to crawl up in bed. Or a bed.

Then, as if someone heard his plea to get away, Jungkook felt himself getting lifted up.

"A caramel peppermint mocha coffee," the barista mumbled. "What is wrong with the world?"

The words repeated in Jungkook's head over and over again like a broken record until they finally clicked.

A caramel peppermint mocha coffee? Those were his and Jimin's flavours! It was finally time for the fate he long awaited.

After being culled from the large group of flavours, Jungkook felt himself being placed into the cup while the dark potent liquid accrued in it as well. Then, like an angel falling from heaven, Jimin floated into the cup along with him. Finally, the barista mixed the drink together.

It was the most euphoric feeling he had ever felt. The sweet permeable buds of caramel blended with the minty, refreshing peppermint while encased in the surrounding bitter coffee. They had become one, something Jungkook thought would only happen in his dreams.

While Jungkook was having the time of his life, the buyer of this cup of this very cup of coffee was not.

"Never again," Namjoon mumbled. The genius boy with an IQ of 148 had concluded that the idea had a modicum of genius in it. In response to finally tasting the confusing concoction, the cup was thrown in the trash.

"What a waste of my three dollars and sixty-nine cents." Namjoon sashayed away from the trash can with the taste of disappointment fresh in his mouth. Even if this was a bad decision for him, Jungkook and Jimin were content.

Instead of having to face the fate of being separated and broken down then turned into ATP, they got to be together in the trashcan of fate. And that impervious love was all they could ever want.

Since I am only a narrator, I must be evanescent like the wind. But remember kids, there can always be something beautiful found in unexpected places.
