"Fern?" I hear in my ear, that soft whisper, it used to help me sleep I know that voice that's Athena's voice. "Fern wake up come on we need to go please just wake up" I want to get up and hug her but I can't move I can't speak I just lay there. I try to calm myself wake myself up but I start to hear the heart monitors beep, the beep starts low and calm like it has been but in a matter of seconds it's beep is screeching and way to fast. I hear someone run and then the door blows open with a bang all I can hear is people, people all over the room. I can't understand anything there saying I just hear yelling and movement fast and harsh. Hands are touching me and someone screams. No not someone, Athena. They must not have known she was in the room because instantly someone yells that she needs to leave and someone takes her out of the room but the heart monitor flat lines before they reach the door. She screams running towards me I hear her feet then everything stops. I hear a zap zap thud I feel energy go through me another zap zap thud more energy "i need more volts you CPR bring her back get the girl out now" I hear Athena protest holding the bed she's crying screaing she grabs my feet and the heart monitor beeps.
