X. THE JURY

i. JSedrano

1. Introduce yourself as a writer. 

I'm a freestyle poet. So.. any grammatical errors that I make... can be considered through poetic license. (LULUSOT PA!) I dont have specific genre, but usually to add spice to the stories I make, I add romance/erotic scenes ( YUN OH! DAMING RELATE OH! Joke!) I'm not really proud of my works to the point of really promoting but I love my babies. (Come on! Those are my babies! Don't you feel like that to your works too?) I read... and read and read. No matter how cliche it is, as long as it hits the right buttons on my brain... I'll love it eternally. So meaning... I have lots of favorites. As a musician, I call myself eclectic and that literally means, if my ears like it, no matter what genre it is, I love it. You can say that I'm eclectic too when it comes to literature. 

I don't know if you get me... but don't worry, I don't get myself either. I just love to express myself... and I like people who share their thoughts of what I think because that's the time I can express more and deepen my thoughts... and that helps me to get to know and understandmyself more. 

2. How will you grade the entries?

I'm not a very technical person. I rarely look at errors such as typographical, that is why I rely on other judge's eyes to see those. LOL! So how will I grade the entries? 

Soul. I just need to see soul on your work. I need to see you. I need to see what you see, what you want to see, and what you want me to see. Literature is a form of art using words. If it is an art... it should have soul. If it doesn't, then how can you convince your readers? How can you drag them to react... to feel your story. It is not just manipulation of words, not just the voice, but the voice should be in tune and harmonic, it should have a melody that would capture other's soul. Hindi mo kailangan laliman ang mga salita. Kailangan lang, bawat salitang gagamitin mo, alam mo ang lamang kaluluwa nun. At pag napagsasama sama mo sila ng tama, makakagawa sila ng isang symphony. A very harmonic symphony that would live on and on and on. 

3. Message to all castaways.

I have high expectations. That everybody would surpass what they can already do. I remember scoring some works on the audition: 99. So guys.. I've seen parts of your soul. Let us see how your torch can outshine the others. Outwit. Outplay. Outlast. May the god of wisdom and literature guide you through your journey. Rock on, and... survive.

ii. AyoshiFyumi

1. Introduce yourself as a writer. 

Ako ay isang POGING manunulat na nagsimula sa pagiging jeje. Yes. Puro informal ang sinusulat ko noon. Pero alam ko na naman sa sarili ko na nag i-improve na ako. Syempre, nakatulong din naman yung ibang writing tips dito. Siguro dala na rin sa pagbabasa ng mga libro. Ang alam ko pati, mas mai-improve ka kapag nagbasa ka ng nagbasa.
Dati, third person point of view ang ginagamit ko talaga sa mga kwento ko. Dito lamang talaga ako gumamit ng first person pov. Uso kasi. But I realized, mas komportable ako gumamit ng third person pov at huwag lang basta makiuso. 
Sa genre naman, madalas ko'ng magamit ang Rom/Com kapag nobela ang isusulat ko. Madalas sa maikling kwento ko naisusulat ang inspirational at tragic. Ganun. Hehehe. 
Siguro, sa sampung nobela na naisulat ko, isa pa lang ang natatapos ko. You know, tamad sometimes pero ang payo ko sa mga castaway na i-motivate nyo ang sarili nyo na magsulat. Hanggat may oras ay mag sulat nang sa gayon ay hindi ma-gahol sa itinakdang oras.
Medyo may kalaliman din ako managalog. Kaya iyong mga kwentong masyadong malalim ang pagkakasulat ng tagalog ang gusto ko. Pero nag i-ingat ako sa pag gamit ng ilang salitang tagalog kasi may ilan na hindi pamilyar sa salitang ginamit ko.

2. How will you grade the entries?

Isusulat ko po ang iskor sa grading sheet. De joke lang. Hehehe. 
Hindi naman ako masyadong mababa mag bigay ng grado. Pero depende pag minsan kung nagustuhan ko o hindi yung kwento. Wala akong pake kung cliché na iyang plot mo. What I want is, gusto ko yung content, malinis at kayang i-deliver ng ayos. Hindi naman ako pihikan sa uri ng istorya, basta magustuhan ko at wala akong nakitang error, perpekto na iyan! Karamihan sa mga binigyan ko ng mataas na grado sa audition entry mga nakitaan ko ng kagalingan sa pag gamit ng tamang salitang tagalog. At alam ko, mas may igagaling pa sila. 

3. Message to all castaways.

Sa point na ito, magiging istrikto ako sa mga castaway na magsusulat ng purong tagalog. Lalo na iyong mga gagamit ng third person pov. Siguraduhin nyo na angkop ang mga bawat salitang gagamitin nyo. Rawr! De joke lang.
Galingan n'yo. Sana higitan nyo yung expectation naming mga magaganda at poging jury. Ibuhos n'yo ang makakaya n'yo. At piliin n'yo kung saan kayo magiging komportable para maiwasan natin ang technicalities. Sundin ang mga nakatataas. Mangaso ng kaalaman. Lumaban ng patas. Tanggapin ang pagkakamali at i-improve ang sarili sa pagsusulat dahil iyon ang rason kung bakit kayo narito.
At tandaan n'yo rin na napaka POGI ko. At kung sino man ang manalo, pabalatuhan n'yo ako ng patatas. Ge. 

Ang pogi ko. Magpapogi din kayo. Iyon lamang ang aking masasabi at bahala na kayo. Good luck! *bow*

iii. Indoorotaku

1. Introduce yourself as a writer. 

 I write from my imagination and emotions... also I tend to write realistically (tama ba ako sa term ko?) since hindi ako masyadong nagsusulat sa fantasy though tinatry ko na siyang gawin ngayon sa novel ko. More of a tragic/mystery/thriller writer ako and realistic romance since yun ang aking level of chenes (whut?!) pero puro romance ang madalas kong basahen

also I tend to have low level of self confidence since yung works ko never pa talaga pumatok (as in! though medyo nag-a-arise yung novel ko na Memoirs) saka dahil nga sa low level na yun... I sometimes have the tendency to think "baka hindi ko mahusgahan nang maayos yung entries"

saka most ng hugot ng stories ko galing sa mga kanta at anime o kaya mere observation... pero imagination talaga puhunan ko (anggele ke XD)

btw dahil nga hindi ako kilala o kung ano pa man... wala po akong bashers o mga alipores o kung anuman kaya hindi ako kapansin pansin (pwede na talaga ako maging si Kuroko sa ginagawa ko lol)

2. How will you grade the entries?

 iga-grade ko ang entries mostly on the content and the creativity... yung grammar kasi dapat alam na nila yun... malalaki na sila! XD

3. Message to all castaways. 

- Message: Hi guys! Hindi niyo ko kilala promise jk lang... anyways good luck sa inyo and wag kayo matakot sa jury ha lalo na sa'kin kasi hindi ako nangangagat... saka kung sakaling matalo kayo keep on writing... gaya ko, ever since hindi pumatok sa BA round ng The Voice yung Memoirs ginawa ko siyang 8 chaptered novel at kahet 100 reads lang may napapasaya akong tao (basically nag-iisang babae XD) so don't give up... pag natalo kayo, it will serve as a lesson and inspiration to you.. so yun... gosh hindi talaga ako magaling sa words (Gray Fullbuster lang ang peg?) kaya yun lang.

1. Introduce yourself as a writer. 

I am Cindy Kate. I'm merely existing as an embodiment of a lost cause. I write hate messages in blood allover the alley walls, I write vulgar vandals in public restrooms, I write unused suicides notes and death threats. I am not a writer of stories -- I am a writer of lies. 

2. How will you grade the entries? 

I will do what my heart dictates. 

3. Message to all castaways? 

Not everything ends in death.
