Emma POV (picture of emmas dad above)
It's been 2 weeks since the incident and Alison hasn't left my side once. My nightmares aren't as bad anymore, and I haven't seen those...things since then, which is good.
*school*
"Hey Alison" I said when I saw her waiting for me by my locker
"Hey Em, can I talk to you for a sec?" she asked. She looks kind of sad
"of course what is it?" I asked worried
"I have to go take care of my aunt, she's very sick and me and my parents are going to take care of her, and I have to go too."
"How long will you be gone?"
"I'm not completely sure, but its going to be a while, are you going to be ok?"
I put on my best fake smile, I didn't want her to be worried about me. Its my problem not hers, she needs to take care her aunt and I understand that.
"I'll be fine don't worry about me." I lied, inside I'm trying my hardest not to cry. Worrying thoughts are popping in my head every second.
What if the nightmares get bad again?
What if those things come back?
What if they start saying things to be again?
what if...
My thought were cut short by the sound of the bell signaling we need to get to class. I quickly got my things from my locker and me and Alison rushed to class. We got there seconds before the tardy bell rang, and the teacher came in moments later.
"Good morning class, please take your seats and copy down all that I have written on the board while I take attendance."
Alison and I sat down in the back of the room and started taking down the notes in our notebooks, when I heard them. The sound I haven't heard in weeks, the sound that has haunted me every day of my life. I heard the whispers.
