Chapter 7

Alison POV

Emma hit her head really hard when she passed out and has been in a coma for a week now. The doctor has no way in telling when she'll wake up. I ended up calling my mom and told her I couldn't look after my aunt. She understood but said her and dad still had to go, so I've been staying with Emma in the hospital.

I heard a knock on the door and Mrs.Bates came in the room.

"How is she, any new news?"

"Sadly no, the doctor still hasn't found any signs to show when she wakes up."

If she wakes up. I thought, and by the look on Mrs.Bates face she was thinking the same thing.

She gave me a sad smile and said "Why don't you go back to the house and shower and change, I'll stay with Emma."

"Thank you." I said with a grateful smile. I haven't been home in a few days so it would be great to be able to take a shower.

Melissa POV (Emma mom)

Alison has just left so I sat in the chair next to Emma's bed.

She doesn't deserve this. She thinks I have no idea what's happening to her but I do. I know because I'm part of the reason it's happening. I didn't think she would get hurt. I was told she wouldn't get hurt.

"I'm so sorry Emma." I whispered even though she couldn't hear me.

Right then the doctor came in the room.

"Mrs.Bates?"

I nodded so he would know it was me but didn't look away.

"Your daughter seems to be getting better, we are hoping she will wake up soon."

"Thank you, do you have any other news?"

"Well actually, we found some, interesting, marks on her body, do you have any clue where she could've gotten them?"

yes. I knew exactly what he was talking about, but I couldn't tell him. Even if I could he wouldn't believe me.

"I have no idea." I stated

Emma POV

"I'm so sorry Emma." someone whispered but I couldn't tell who. I couldn't open my eyes or move. I could hear another voice speaking, but I can't understand what they're saying.
