bonus chapter

He could do it. He could speak to Namjoon, Seokjin spoke to himself, he had been speaking to himself all morning. Namjoon was sitting in his usual corner in the store. Seokjin had just finished Namjoon's order and he was about to bring it to his table. He had to. He stood up with the cup of coffee in his hand and slowly walked to the table. "Hey, here's your coffee, from- uh- me, would you like to order anything else?" Seokjin said, projecting a smile on his face. Of course he looked nervous. This was probably the first boy he had liked this much and he didn't want to mess up.

Namjoon took out one earbud and looked at Seokjin. He noticed something was off, maybe he didn't sleep enough last night?

Nonetheless, he gave the handsome man a smile. "Thank you, I was wondering if you still had those delicious strawberry tarts, those are my absolute favourite."

"Oh, I think I don't have them right now, but I can make them for you," Seokjin said as he kept on smiling brightly. Seokjin looked at Namjoon and the only thing on his mind was he is so handsome on repeat.

"That would be incredibly sweet of you, but you don't have to if it's too much trouble for you," Namjoon said. He didn't want to bother the man with more work. "You can leave it if it's too much, ehm..."

"Seokjin," he said hastily. He was the only one working today, and there were no other customers at that moment, he had literally nothing else to do. "It's nothing, I'll be back with your strawberry tart in a second," Seokjin said with a smile as he walked away to the kitchen where he made the tart in a short time, most likely a record holding time.

'Seokjin', Namjoon mouthed. A pretty name, almost just as pretty as the person carrying it. He watched Seokjin head back to the kitchen and took a small sip of his coffee, watching him work.

Seokjin worked on the tarts (making three in case one or two didn't look as good as normally), tasting it before bringing it to Namjoon's table.

"Your strawberry tart." Seokjin said with a smile.

"Ah, thank you so much, sorry for the trouble." Namjoon smiled at him and took a bite, humming while closing his eyes. "It's delicious as usual, thank you, Seokjin."

"Do you mind if I sit down here for a second?" Seokjin asked as he pointed at the chair on the other side of the table.

"Not at all." Namjoon gestured for him to sit down, following his every movement over the edge of his coffee cup.

Seokjin fiddled with his apron, as he sat down and looked at Namjoon's papers.

"What actually do you write?" Acting like he didn't know it. It wouldn't make Seokjin look like the stalker he actually was.

Namjoon shook his head. "Oh, nothing special, really, just some lyrics." He tapped his pen on his lower lip and furrowed his brows. "It's more of a hobby but I like doing it, my friends do it too."

"So you make music?" Seokjin asked as he rested his elbow on a free spot on the table, resting his chin on his hand.

"I try to," Namjoon said, scratching his neck. "I've made a few songs before but I don't know if they're good enough to actually upload to Soundcloud or anything." He took another bite.

"Maybe I can be the judge of that?" Seokjin said with a smile. "If I tell you it's bad you don't have to see me again." Which would be an extreme pity...

Namjoon chuckled loudly, looking at the beauty sitting at his table. "Are you sure? I don't know if my voice is that good."

"From hearing your voice now, I'm sure it'll sound great," Seokjin said as he smiled and looked over one of the notebooks.

Namjoon gave him a shy smile. "Thanks, that's really sweet of you." He grabbed his phone and held out one earphone to Seokjin. "You can listen to one of my tracks if you want."

"I'd love to," Seokjin said as he took the earphone and put it in his ear, waiting for Namjoon to play something.

Namjoon put his own earbud in his ear and pressed 'play', a song called 'Do You' started playing. Namjoon bit his lip, suddenly anxious for Seokjin's reaction.

Seokjin's mouth dropped. Even though it wasn't what he'd listen normally it was extremely good and he wanted to hear more. He pressed the earbud into his ear and listened carefully. The song ended.

"Wow."

Namjoon's cheeks were a light shade of red, he didn't want to look Seokjin in the eye. "So... what do you think?"

"It's so good!" Seokjin said, practically yelling. "I love this, wow," Seokjin continued as he looked at Namjoon.

Namjoon was in shock. He had no idea his bullshit would get someone so enthusiastic, but at the same time he liked seeing Seokjin like this, with a bright smile and twinkling eyes.

"Y-You do?"

"Yes," Seokjin said with a smile and looked Namjoon into his eyes, turning away immediately.

"Wow, I- thank you, I'm really glad you like it," Namjoon said with a faint blush, looking away from Seokjin's eyes.

Seokjin scratched his neck, looking up again to see Namjoon looking away too. "Uhm, can I maybe have your phone number?"

Namjoon looked up, eyes spread open in surprise. "O-Oh, yes of course." He took a napkin and a pen, writing down his number and shoving it over the table towards Seokjin.

"I'll text you then," Seokjin said with a smile as he stood up. The bell rang, signaling a new customer walked in and Seokjin took the napkin, stuffing it in his pocket and rushed to the counter where he'd take the customer's order.
