Chapter 40 - LAST CHAPTER!!! :)

*Third person POV*

2 MONTHS LATER...

Harry reluctantly got dressed to head over to a cemetery that gloomy morning with his family. He was dreading even being there, considering the person he would be saying 'goobye' to just made him feel so many emotions altogether.

It hit him harder than he cared to admit that this would be the last time he would 'talk to' said person. But it had to be done. For respect.

Because, yes, he did care for this person quite a lot. And it only seemed fair to carry on saying final words at this person's grave. No matter how hard it was to forgive this person. It had to be done.

"Harry, you ready to go?" Gemma asked her younger brother at the doorway.

"Just let me say a quick 'goodbye' to the babies," Harry muttered, making his way over to the crib and picking up both his children.

His twins stared up at him with sad eyes, touching his face as if to comfort him. Harry appreciated that they seemed to have the need to comfort their father, instead of the other way around like it should be.

But Harry didn't care. He just let his children touch his face and play with his hair like they always would before he had to leave them.

He wished he could bring them to the funeral, but they weren't really needed there and it would make things more complicated. However, the thought of having two familiar little beings be in his arms as anchor to remind him what he still had was tempting him to bring them anyway.

Harry couldn't do that though. Ethan and Claire both had to go to their grandparents from Liam's side. They would be able to watch these two as Harry said 'goodbye' to this someone.

"Alright, you two. When we get to your other grandparents house, you better be as well behaved as you've always been. Got it?" he said to his children softly.

"Papa," they both said as they continued to touch Harry's face and smiled up at him.

"Let's go then," Harry whispered, kissing their foreheads.

Gemma and Harry made their way down the stairs to meet up with the rest of their family. Anne put a hand on Harry's shoulder to comfort him and kissed the heads of the twins.

"You sure you're alright being there?" she asked him carefully, looking directly in his eyes.

"Yes, Mum. I had to do this sometime," he replied. "It's been two months. I can do this."

"Okay," she said, and took Claire from his arms. "Let's take them to the Payne's house. Karen and Geoff have been waiting to see them for a while now."

Harry nodded and carried Ethan to his parents' car as he followed them out of their house. On their way out though, Niall and Zayn appeared on their driveway, both looking weary. They, too, knew what Harry was planning to do this morning.

"Are you both joining Harry today?" El asked, holding her son in her arms. She had finally given birth to her and Louis' baby last month. They couldn't be happier.

"I- um... I don't think we can. It's really hard," Zayn answered solemnly, looking at the ground.

"But we  have really thought about it. Just-... We can't bring ourselves to go," Niall added.

"I get it," Harry said with a soft smile. "I'll see you lads later then, for lunch with the whole family."

The other two nodded waved at Harry apologetically, making their way into the house with Louis, his parents, and Eleanor. They were going to be staying there with the couple, since it was too hard for them to go say anything to this person's at the cemetery.
