"She got me fucked up I swear. One minute we just cooling chilling the next she being super petty. Haven't we went through so much in this short amount of time already?"
"Listen you got to calm down Kei. She just a little worried. I mean look at who you are? You are every girls dream guy. I know my best friend and I know exactly what she is doing. She most likely thinks the next girl is going to take you from her" Mari said.
"I would never leave her for another girl"
"We know you won't but she will always feel that way. Trust me I've know her forever. She will get over it" she said.
"But wait hold tf up. Her and Al little ass made an agreement to fuck? Wow my son was tryna get it" Elijah loud ass said.
"Look I needed to see if it was real. She almost failed too"
"That's fucked up. I know she mad af. You would've been hurt like shit had they went through with it" Mari laughed.
"Yeah you'd lose a friend and a girl" Elijah added.
"But on some real shit you probably shouldn't have threw that in her face. That was hella low bro" Mari said.
"I know but in the moment that's all I had. But let me get back we are supposed to be having dinner with her family."
"Oh really? Be careful her brothers are something else." Mari said hugging me.
I went back down the hall to our suite and saw Y/N in the bed. I walked over and sat on the edge.
"I'm sorry" we said in unison then we laughed.
"No keith I'm sorry for real. I overreact. It's just a comment. People comment all day. It's nothing. All I'm going to say is she better not never come around you" she said.
"I mean I can't promise that. What if one day we got to do a movie or show together?"
"They gon have to cast my ass because you're not doing it with her" she said.
"Yeah ok. You can't tell me who I can and cannot work with. If it's bringing in money you got no say"
"Who tf are you talking to like that?" She said.
"Look I'm gon say this and if you feel some way about it that's on you. I'm tired of your smart ass mouth. You been really bitchy lately. You're letting all these little ass things get to you. I'm sorry for saying what I said earlier but you got to do better. I wouldn't get like this if you didn't make me like this. If there's something bothering you you need to tell me I'm not about to go back and forth with you. I been letting shit slide these last few weeks but right now I'm sick of it." She looked at me like she wanted to cry but I don't even care. She been pushing my buttons lately. Almost like she wanted to pick fights with me for no reason. I'm done with it.
"Nothing is wrong." Was all she said.
"We aren't going anywhere until you tell me what's wrong with you" I said getting up locking the door. She still didn't talk.
"Cat got your tongue?"
"I said nothing is wrong. Leave me alone" she said.
"Welp better call order room service because I'm serious we aren't leaving til I know wassup. Idc if we sit here for a month."
"I guess that's it then. I have no problem sitting here" she says.
Y/N
We sat there in silence. No music. No tv noise. Nothing. The silence was driving me crazy but it's whatever. If he wants to sit here trying to figure out what's wrong that's on him. I started to get up because I wasn't about to sit here any longer.
"I know you're not trying to leave " He said without looking up.
"I'm tired of sitting here"
"Then talk that's all you have to do" He said.
"There's nothing wrong. Can we just go and finish this when we come back. I can't just not show up to dinner."
"Ugh come on I'm hungry anyway but this will continue when we get back" with that we left out.
We pulled up to the house I grew up in and my mood changed all together. This was truly my happy place but I seriously didn't know how my parents would react to Keith. They knew I was with someone else but they didn't know who. My parents weren't hip to social media or anything so me saying Keith Powers to them is like saying a random ass person. We got to the door and Keith pulled me close to him.
"We gon act right because i don't want to mess this up but I'm still mad" he whispered. Then the door opened.
"Hey lil sis. Long time no see." My brother Cory said pulling me into a hug. He let go and just looked at Keith. "Another pretty boy I see"
"Don't start. Keith this is Cory. Cory, keith." Keith put his hand out for a handshake but Cory never shook it. Here we go again.
"Go head in sis let me talk to pretty boy" he said pushing me in the house. I hope he doesn't scare him. We all know Keith a little bit sensitive.
"Mommy! Daddy!" I yelled walking in the kitchen seeing them slow dancing. They so cute but corny at the same time.
"Baby girl. We thought you'd never show" my dad said coming to hug me.
"I missed you guys"
"Let go of my baby and let her give her favorite parent some love" my mom said pushing daddy out the way.  I laughed because they're always going back and forth about who is the favorite. I love them equally though.
"I'm her favorite. You can be favorite to them boys you got" daddy said.
"Guys I love you equally I have no favorite"
"So where is this guy you said you were bringing?" Mom asked.
"Yeah I need to see him. Lord knows I couldn't stand that deep dimple boy" dad said.
"You a lie daddy you always loved him don't change it up now sir."
"Your father is so fake you know this baby" she laughed.
"Anyways he's out with Cory he wanted to talk to him"
"Oh no baby I want to see him in one piece" she said "Cory!!!!"
"Yeah ma?" He said walking in with Keith who came to my side.
"You good babe?"
"Of course. We just talked." He said kissing my forehead. Talk about a mood change.
"Well mommy daddy this is Keith Powers my head- my boyfriend"
"Baby this the boy from the movies. He played my favorite NE member Ronnie. Omg omg Carl get a picture get a picture." Mom was really fan girling right now. She is too old for his.
"Mom stop that"
"No it's alright. She's cute. Mr Carl get the picture" Keith said.
"Omg he called me cute!" My Mom is a character I swear.
They took a couple pics and the whole time she was rubbing on him. Daddy was getting mad but what could he do?
"Mommy stop feeling up on my man like that"
"Girl bye this my man now" She said holding him tight. I couldn't do nothing but laugh at her crazy self.
"You can keep her son" my dad said grabbing stuff to set the table.
"Ma leave him alone." Cory said. "After dinner you tryna play 2k?"
"You don't want no smoke Cory." Keith said.
"What man? Put your money where your mouth is pretty boy" Cory said. This man was serious about his 2k.
After everyone was settled we finally ate dinner. We talked and I was just happy everyone liked Keith. My other brother Tyler finally joined us and I felt complete. Once we ate the boys went in the den and played 2k and did whatever else men did. Mom and me were cleaning up.
"So Baby how are things?" She said.
"Things are good mom. How are you?"
"No how are things really?" She pressed.
"Mommy i said they were good. We are good." She stared at me for a minute. You know how moms are they really know things. So i feel like I need to just tell her. She probably can tell me what's going on.
"Well Keith has been so good to me but I feel like I'll never be good enough for him. I've been picking arguments with him and I don't understand why. The small things just are bothering me. Everything all the way down to comments on social media. Before we came he wanted to talk and I had nothing to say. He was even going to cancel because i wasn't going to talk to him" I broke down.
"Come on Baby let's sit" she took my hand and we sat at the table. "You're in love that's all. Love is hard baby but that's what it is. Throw in his status and it makes things harder. You're more than good enough for him so get that out your head. You just have to learn how to deal with it all. It takes time. And don't let all that instasnap and snapbook mess things up" I giggled at the names.
"Instagram and Snapchat mommy"
"Whatever it is. But it's all love I see it. The way you look at him and how he looks at you. I see the love. Reminds me of your father and I. Don't get me wrong I wanted to kill him a few times but I'm so in love with that man I can't see me without him." Maybe she was right. Yeah me and Keith always say we love each other but being in love is totally different. I got to make it all right.
Keith
"So Keith you love my daughter huh?" Her dad said.
"Of course sir. I love her more than i love myself."
"You sure?" Her brother Tyler asked.
"I'm 100 percent sure. I can't see me without her and I wonder how could I ever be this lucky. We have our times but you know nothing I can't handle."
"Listen I'm only going to say this once and only once. You hurt my sister and that's your head. She thinks we don't know what happened with that other guy but we do. We dealt with him and he can tell you wassup. To avoid anything you better keep her happy you hear me?" Cory said.
"Listen I won't hurt her but don't make no threats to me. Talk to me like a man or don't say shit to me at all. You're her family that may just become my family so we are going to respect each other. Calm all that tough tony shit down." I️ said in a calm matter. They all looked at each other than back at me.
"Oh pretty boy got heart i see" Cory said.
"And stop calling me pretty boy"
"Ok ok ok look son just keep her happy. She's just like her mother and I can tell you from experience if she's not happy you're going to be super unhappy" Her dad said.
"Babe you ready to go?" Y/n said from the top of the steps.
"Yeah here I come. I'll see y'all next time." I said walking out.
"If there's a next time pretty boy" Cory said.
"So how was it?" She asked.
"It was cool."
"Y'all leaving so soon?" Her mom asked.
"Yes mommy I'm tired. You fed me so much" she said hugging her mom.
"Yeah and She's cranky when she's tired. Bye mrs...."
"Call me mom or babe either is fine with me hunny" her mom said hugging me.
"Mommy stop it" Y/n said.
"Hey don't be jealous your mom wants the kid."
"Byeeee guys love you!" She yelled down the steps. "Come on Keith. Bye mommy"
With that we left. When we got in the car the ride was silent. Here and there she'd look over at me thinking I didn't see. I said nothing but i grabbed her hand a kissed it. We rode holding hands then she spoke.
"I️ love you Keith" she said.
"I know and I love you too"
"No keith I'm in love with you" She said. "That's why I've been acting the way I've been acting. I wasn't sure how to handle it. I talked with mom and she made me realize that I'm in love with you and it's okay to feel how I feel."
"Oh I see. Listen babe you had me thinking I actually did something wrong. Next time can you just please let me know what's going on?"
"I promise" she said.
"Cory almost caught these hands thou"
"Omg whyyyy?" She said.
"Because He was making threats and shit then he kept calling me pretty boy"
"Well you are a pretty boy babe. Don't worry about him though. He's just a little rough. We used to fight all the time. Of course I won each time. You'll learn to love him. Y'all prolli will be best friend" she said opening the door to get out.
"Idk about best friends but we will see."
We went in the hotel and got settled in. We were in bed and she was doing the usual and scrolling through Instagram since she was being nosey I posted a pic of us in bed together. The likes and comments came quick. Almost quicker than usual. Then Ryan comments
