STORY TIME!!!

Naoki walked through the hallway to his home, his eyes keeping to his tablet as he put together some data points. Jin watched him from afar, his lips curled into a frown and a sad glint in his tired green eyes.

This has been an everyday thing for a week now, the young scientist so absorbed into his work that he straight up ignores his boyfriend. Jin was tired of it. He was ignored long enough by other people, but having his lover doing it, it pisses him off.

An idea crossed his thoughts suddenly, making him give a devilish smile. He slipped away, moving into Naoki's lab to hide and wait for him.

Naoki heaved a sigh, shuffling his way back down to his lab after taking a quick break. He was getting so close to figuring out his equation... He just needs a bit more data...

He opened the door to his lab, he not remembering if he closed it or not, and stepped inside, closing it behind him. He pushed a hand into his slightly messy hair, brushing his bangs from his eye.

The young scientist say back down in his chair, moving from his tablet to his computer to continue his research. Computer keys clicked as he typed quickly, orange eyes scanning the screen. Something squeaked quietly behind him, making him stop and look in the direction.

He turned back shortly after, dismissing it as his overworked mind, and got back to work. It sounded again, a bit louder than the last, making him turn again.
         "Hello?" He finally asked, his eyes scanning the dark room. Silence. Not another sound was heard. Naoki shook his head softly, shaking away any unease he felt, and returned to his research.

Jin giggled silently to himself, continuing to creep up on his scientist boyfriend. He lifted up his arms, getting on the tips of his toes as he got ready. With a grin and an odd glint in his eyes, he grasped Naoki's shoulders tightly.

The taller blader cried out from the sudden jolt, ripping himself away from the hands to turn and face his assailant. Jin started laughing, which caused Naoki to flush and glare at him.
         "Jin, what the hell?!" He snapped, bringing his hands up to rub his burning cheeks. The laughing subsided, Jin going from his happy self to a more cold and serious one.
         "You've been ignoring me... You never want to do anything with me anymore... You're really starting to piss me off..." He growled, his sharp pointed teeth displayed.

Naoki stopped, his anger suddenly disappearing when realization hit him hard. Jin sighed, bringing his hand up to pull his hat down, it now covering his tear-filled eyes.
        "Forget it Naoki... I'm going to bed..."  He said quietly, turning and walking out of the lab. The teenage scientist rose, running after him.
        "Jin! Wait!" He called, running up behind him. The smaller male turned, barely having time to react when Naoki's taller body crashed into him, holding him tightly. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I've been ignoring you. You know I don't mean it right? I've just been so caught up in my work that I didn't realize..." His voice was soft, holding love and compassion.

Tears were streaming Jin's cheeks, the smaller blader releasing a small sob and pressing his face into Naoki's shoulder. He held tightly to him, sobs and hiccups muffled by his lab coat.

That day, Naoki promised to never let his research get in the way of his relationship. He knows what it's like to be ignored, and he doesn't want Jin to feel that way anymore.
