After I finished work Matt was waiting in the foyer for me so I walked out to meet him. I was expected him earlier and had thought that may be my boss had not let him in because he was not a guest at the hotel. But I figured it was Matt he would have used his 'charm' on her. So obviously he forgot.
"Hey I thought you were coming for a massage." I said as he stood up from the couch he had parked his butt on. What a lazy bugger.
"Well I was but I forgot what time you told me to come, but you can still do it at home." He smirked at me, I smiled back at him. He better not try anything funny.
"Sure, I'm hungry you got any food? I didn't get a break today." I said as we headed for the exit.
"Why didn't you get a break?" He asked his face scrunched up like he was outraged or something, cute.
"We were busy and I had an extra client while I when I was meant to have my break." I replied.
"Oh ok, well we can stop at McDonald's on the way home." He suggested and I pulled a face. I don't eat that processed crap, or red meat.
"Ew no, let's just go home and make two minute noodles." I replied pulling out my phone from my bag to check my messages.
"Oh that's right you don't eat red meat I keep forgetting. Two minute noodles sounds good." he said and I randomly stopped in the middle of the street. "Hey what's wrong?" he asked as he noticed I wasn't standing next to him anymore. I was holding my stomach. Matt started to walk back to me. "Anna what's wrong?" I groaned in pain.
"I dunno I've just been having these pains all day." I replied in a groan.
"Um shit ... do you wanna go to emergency room or something?" he asked, he had no idea what he was doing. I had no clue what was wrong with me I thought maybe it was just cramps but these weren't normal cramp if you know what I mean.
"Shit." I groaned and doubled over.
"Okay you're going to the emergency room!" he said and grabbed my waist gently leaded me to his car that was parked a few meters ahead.
~Emergency Room~
"Ms Anna Hudgens" A nurse called, we had been sitting in the emergency room for about an hour and they had finally started clearing people in front of us. Matt helped me stand up and lead over to where the nurse was waiting for us.
"Sorry sir I can't allow you to come through." the nurse told Matt, he grumbled and started cursing under his breath which made me laugh, but that hurt so a slapped his arm.
"I'll wait for you." he said quietly and I followed the nurse to an uncomfortable looking bed made of cold uninviting metal. I hate hospitals.
She asked me a series of questions, asked if there was any possibilities of me being pregnant, if I had eaten anything today just the normal questions they ask you when you have abdominal pains.
We did scans and x-rays and ultrasounds, blood tests. Everything they can stick in you they did. I know that sounds really unpleasant and yes it was.
~2 hours later ~
The doctor finally came back holding what looked like my file. It must have been my file it had my name on it. "Right Anna I have your results back and I know what's troubling you. But first I just want to clear this up. Were you aware that you were pregnant?" he asked.
"Pardon?" I gulped, I'm sixteen I'm not aloud to be pregnant. Wait did he just say were pregnant as in past tense, oh crap.
"Okay that defiantly clears that up ... Anna I'm sorry to inform you, that you've had a miscarriage." The doctor said and my eyes widened. Holy crap how did this happen? Cam and I were always so careful. I sniffed at the thought of Cam.
"I ... There ... Shit ... Oh .... Um .... what?" I mumbled, my head was a mess. I feel so stupid how could I let that ass wipe Cam do that to me? I'm such an idiot.
"I'm sorry dear, there are councilors that I can refer you to if you need. Here's my card. Give me a call if you need anything at all." the doctor gave me a half hearted smile and left the room. The nurse replaced him.
"I'm so sorry Ms Hudgens. You can go home now." The nurse rubbed my arm as I sat there on the bed staring into space. There was a little mini me inside me and it was gone. I got dressed and slowly walked back out into the waiting room.
"Anna are you ok?" Matt came over to me, he seemed genuinely worried.
"No." I whispered.
"Why what's wrong?" He asked.
"I ... I ... Preg ...." I couldn't even say it.
"You're pregnant?" he asked.
"No ... not anymore." I whispered and burst into tears, he pulled me into a hug. He just held me there.
"Oh I'm so sorry Anna. Sshhh ... It's okay, everything will be ok." He whispered into my ear.
"He did this to me." I sobbed.
"Do you need to see him?" He asked as I sobbed into his chest.
"Not yet." I managed to choke out.
"Ok, let's get you home." He put his arm around my waist and led me to the door and out to the chilled wind. I shivered.
"Here." He stopped taking off his jacket and putting it over me.
"Do you want me to go get Ally?" He asked as we drove home. I shook my head in reply. I just wanted to alone.
"Do you want something to eat?" Matt asked as I walked aimlessly around the house.
"No." I replied.
"You ok?" He asked coming up to me, he grabbed my hands and I looked up at him.
"I think so. I just can't believe the was a little baby inside of me and now it's gone." I said sadly the thought of a child coming from me made me sad and I
cried again.
"Yeah I know, I really think you should talk to Cam." He said quietly, he still had my hands.
"I guess I should." I sighed.
"You want me to get him to come over." He suggested, I just nodded.
"You want a hug?"
"Yes please."
