Once Hermione is finished laughing she realizes that Ginny is missing and scowls. Then she turns her attention back to Ron, who is looking at her dreamily. "Oh Ron, honestly, wake up," she says as she snaps her fingers to get his attention. Ron gets knocked out of his daze and looks at her, focused. "I want to apologize," she says. "About what?" He asks. "About not choosing you when you were there for me most of my life, for being rude to you and treating you like you were no one," she responds. "Oh," he says, speechless. "Do you forgive me?" She asks. "Sure, I can always forgive one of my best friends," he says, smiling. "Thanks, really," she replies. "No problem, anything for you," he responds. A smile crosses Hermione's face as she leans closer to Ron and lets her lips brush up against his. Ron's eyes widen with shock but quickly close, to cherish the moment, because after all, it probably won't happen again. Hermione's lips quickly leave his, leaving him longing for more. "Don't tell Draco about this," she says, smirking. "Trust me, I wouldn't dare," he replies, returning her smirk. Hermione skips out of the room and up the stairs, obviously happy about what she just did. Ron smiles to himself as he closes his eyes and peacefully falls asleep.
