"Why are you smiling? A freaking ghost just bitch slapped you across the room!" He said enthusiastically.

"Because..." Liza said "I saw what's probably connecting her to earth. She was holding it." Liza finished.

"What was it?" Loup asked extremely curious.

"A pair of scissors."

After that dangerous encounter with the spirit they both went their separate ways. Liza went to her motel room for the last night as she would be staying with Loup tomorrow night. For some reason this made her nervous. They were supposed to meet at the house tomorrow at seven thirty and then go to the library. The thought of seeing Loup made Liza full of excitement that caused her stomach to do flips. But she didn't know why. She didn't need or want anybody in her life. Not even a friend. At least she didn't think she did.

Loup went back to his dusty cabin in the woods and walked through the front door. He passed the living room filled with chairs and sofas that had been covered in sheets in order to keep them in relatively good shape. He wasn't going to use them anytime soon but maybe one day he'll have a family and they'll live here.

Loup always dreamed of having a wife and kids. A mate. A pack. When he was little he always fantasized about being the alpha of his pack. But now he didn't even have a pack. He didn't even have a friend. Everyone had left him and now he was fighting for himself in this cruel, cruel world.

In a way though he was an alpha. He was a lone wolf and was his own alpha. He had been alone for so long the thought of having a pack was all he could think about. Building a relationship with a beautiful and kind girl that could give him children. Building a relationship with his children. And finally building relationships with friends and fellow pack members.

He got a glimpse of that today. What it would be like to have a pack to protect and protect you. Liza is giving him the feeling of his dream becoming a reality for only a couple weeks until this job is done. Then they will move on and probably never speak to each other again.

It's sad to think but their worlds just didn't mix. Their dreams didn't flow together right. He wanted a pack, a family. People to love. But she didn't know how to love. She hadn't loved in so long that her heart had almost grown cold. She didn't want a family. Because she knew she wouldn't live forever. And when her time was up her family's world would come crashing down. Like hers did when her parents died. Why would she ever make someone go through that pain. The feeling of being empty and lonely every day of your life. Both teenagers are so young. One full of hope and the other slowly giving up. But they one thing in common. They were both broken.

-

Liza got to the house at seven, half an earlier than she was supposed to but her father had always told her to be early.

"Early is on time, on time is late and late is never acceptable." He would say.

He wasn't as strict as her mother. No he wasn't strict at all. He just got his point to her in a catchy way. He definitely knew how to teach her things. I mean what young aspiring witch wouldn't love a catchy slogan to learn a lesson from. When her first told it to her she thought it was a spell. She would repeat in the mirror looking to see if anything happened to her. But little did she know that she wasn't aloud access to her powers until she was thirteen.

Of course she knew she was a witch but her mother had used an old spell to hid Liza's powers from herself until she was thirteen. It was such an old age because Liza's mother needed to make sure that she was ready for great power. It was good plan that Liza planned on using when she was younger and had hopes of having children of her own. But now she knows what dangerous business she is in. She would never want her children to have th pain of loosing a parent. Feeling empty everyday for the rest of your life and wishing you would have done something more to help them.

Liza was taken out of her thoughts when she heard the door of the house open. But it was still only about ten minutes after seven. Loup came striding into the room while looking at the ground with a cheeky grin on his face.

"You're early." Liza stated. Obviously Loup's mind was somewhere else because he jumped from being surprised.

"Oh! Sorry I didn't see you there." He said clutching he is chest. Probably trying to slow his heart rate down.

'His chest is probably pretty muscular' Liza thought to herself. But the she realized that she shouldn't be thinking that. She is her for business and business only.

Loup sat down across from Liza on the floor about six feet away. Both of them had their legs crossed in what Loup's kindergarten teacher used to call 'criss cross apple sauce'. They looked at each other intensely, taking in each others features.

Loup was probably about five foot ten inches, which is probably tall to other people but not so much to Liza; her being five foot nine inches. He had beautiful blue eyes with shiny light brown hair and freckles danced all over his cheeks and nose. Highcheek bones, sharp jawline and medium muscular build. Not as strong as some other werewolves Liza had met but he was definitely strong. But his physical muscles only showed how strong he was when he wasn't using his wolf abilities. He was much stronger and faster when he wanted to be.

That's just how being a werewolf works. He also has heightened senses, meaning hearing, sight and smell. Being a wolf had it's perks for sure but it wasn't all fun and games for them. Having to change every full moon was painful. It got better as you got older and changed more though. After five years of changing it was supposed to feel a million times better. You're supposed to change for the first time when you're thirteen or fourteen. And Loup's thirteenth birthday happened to be on a full moon. That night he changed for the first time. When he turned eighteen sure the pain got better but it wasn't that much better. But Loup never changed when it wasn't a full moon. He never felt the need to or wanted to. He wasn't very proud of being able to transform into a giant hairy dog.

Loup studied Liza very closely. She was quite a simple looking girl. Brown hair and skin that wasn't very tanned but she wasn't pale. She was very tall for a girl and quite muscular too. That happens when you fight evil forces for a living. She needs to know how to fight and needs to stay in shape as well. She also had a very small waist that kept her body looking feminine and a curvy bottom and chest. But something that stood out to Loup the moment he saw her was her eyes. They are an electrifying green with flecks of grey in them. Loup had never seen eyes quite like hers. They were beautiful but fierce at the same time. Kind of like what he had learned to be her personality. Loup wondered if maybe she could read into him a little using his eyes.

And she could. She could see that even though his eyes are an iced blue colour that they are still warm and soft and comforting. They made her want to crawl up to him and fall into his embrace. How could a pair of eyes make you feel so much?
