"color blind"
Everyone’s instructed not live in black and white
But sometimes I’d rather not see the blood red left on pavements
Sickly purple painted on young children
Black and blue stained on women from men
Who are able to inflict crippling fear
Yes
From the moment we leave our pink and blue cribs
We’re taught to live in color
But maybe that advice was meant for different times
And better lives
Because our biggest curse now seems to be our eyes
Maybe we’re all better off living color blind...

PoetryA collection of short poems that I wrote mostly during the summer of 2013. A majority of them have to do with things I've observed around me and not necessarily things I've been through.
