"It's a beautiful day outside. Birds are singing, flowers are blooming, on days like this, kids like you... Should be burning in hell."

Sans' POV :

I ignited my eyesocket and immediately summoned white bones that flew at (Y/n). She dodged and blocked them with ease, but didn't attack. This is where I'll let all my anger out. All this torture will unwind. I summoned a bunch of gaster blasters, who fired one after another, all aiming at the genocider. She growled and clenched her palms into fists, gripping her knife even tighter. She ran away from the beams and dodged them swiftly. When they all ran out of their energy, they instantly disappeared. (Y/n) cane to a halt and smirked.

"What's wrong Sansy?~ Giving up already?~"
She asked as she panted softly.
~How dare she provoke me!! Ohoho! It's on!~

I growled and summoned white bones, shooting them directly at her instantly. (Y/n) merely moved her hand and blocked them with the knife.
~How is that even possible?!~

She only grinned in return. I darkly chuckled and prepared another attack, but that time, I controlled her soul. She gasped in surprise and looked at me in shock. My smile only grew as she was thrown across the hall. I could hear her bones crack and break with every slam against the solid wall. What took me by surprise, was that she didn't scream in agonizing pain. (Y/n) only groaned and whimpered quietly, as if she didn't want me to hear it. I slammed her against the ground one last time, before releasing her and letting her lie there, motionless.
~It's finally over. First round complete.. ~

I thought to myself and waited for (Y/n) to reset. It took a while before anything happened, but she still didn't reset. Instead she chose to continue. Her trembling body slowly rose, her legs barely supported her weight, her lungs barely let in the air she desperately needed. Blood was pouring from the wounds all over her body, mainly from her fractured arms. (Y/n) used some healing items and regenerated her limbs and body. She took a few deep breaths, closed her eyes and put on an evil grin while letting out a dark giggle.

"It'll take more than that to kill me. Come at me!"
She challenged me. I took a fighting stance and summoned everything I had. The lighting in the room became foggy, messed up. I took one gaze at her, and the background changed. We were in a nice meadow of flowers, near a modern city with tall buildings and large streets. Iron cars drove by fast. Some of them let out loud noises. (Y/n) was smirking evilly, her hands were near her chest, her fingers imitating claws. I noticed my posture, and I was doing the same. We were moving in a circle, always looking at eachother.

"Come on Sansy! Show me whatcha got.~"
Her voice rang and slightly echoed, like in a traditional flashback.

"You asked for it.~"
I said in return, teasing her back.

The next moment I was back in the Judgement Hall with (Y/n) standing in the same position as in the flashbacks. I growled and shot everything I had. She was running at me while blocking and deflecting all of the projectiles. In a flash of light I was back at the meadow. She was still running towards me, but she stopped about 5 feet in front of me. (Y/n) smirked and said:

"I'm using mercy. Will you accept it, oh Sansy?"

I chuckled and closed my eyesockets, my hands were now in the pockets of my blue hoodie.

"Sure..."
I replied.

"Cm'ere.."
I extended my arms and waited for her to step closer and accept the hug. And so, she stepped closer.

"Buddy, pal..."
I said as she hugged me tightly. In a flash of light, I was yet again in the Judgment Hall. (Y/n) was wrapped in my arms. I smirked and summoned a bone, that was ready to impale her at any given moment. She opened her mouth to say something, but all that came out was a painful gasp. Her eyes watered, but she kept a sweet smile on her face.

"Get.. Dunked on."
Is what I said when she closed her eyes. Before she lost the light and spark in her soul, she did the following :

Your POV:

I felt the bone impale me as I tugged on Sans' sleeves. Just before I could say it, my skin was ripped apart and blood poured from the open wound. I teared up, but smiled, since I knew that I got what I wanted. That was it.. The moment that would forever save him from the nightmares and demons he had to suffer from for so long. All I had to do then was to die. I closed my eyes and listened to Sans for the last time.

"Get.. Dunked on."

Tears escaped my eyes and I gripped his sleeves tighter. I could feel the weakness kicking in, along with the unbearable pain. A whimper escaped my already cold body. I could sense my end just oozing closer and closer. Out of instinct I said

"I... Love you... Sans.."

I made that one mistake.. If he were to remember.. This whole plan would crumble, my sacrifice would mean nothing.. Before my life ended for good, I felt Sans' grip tighten.

"I'm sorry.."

Is the last thing I heard.

Sans' POV:

"I... Love you... Sans.."
(Y/n) barely whispered out with a raspy voice.

Yet again a flash of light took me to another place, but this time I was kneeling down on front of the human girl, gently holding her hand. She covered her mouth with one hand and nodded with teary eyes. I stood up and smiled, when she immediately hugged me. The surroundings changed and we were back back in Snowdin, having a friendly snowfight. She took cover behind the house, while I walked quietly around the other side. (Y/n) reached around the corner and saw nobody. That's when I took the chance and tackled her, which lead to me pinning her to the ground. We laughed and chuckled about it, and in the end I leaned close to her and gave her a passionate kiss. The surroundings changed again, but this time I was in a hospital, the same one as in my dreams.

"Are you sure you want to do this?"
Gaster asked us as he came from behind the curtains.

"I-I'm positive."
(Y/n) replied and held my hand. I nodded and gently squeezes her hand.

"Let's do this."
I cheered and let her go. She came closer and gave me a quick peck on the forehead.

"Remember the ring you gave me? If by any chance something goes wrong.. Look through your pockets in your pants."
She added before Gaster led her to what I assume was the waiting room. I closed my eyes and let him do whatever he had to. I opened my eyes soon after and saw the same hall I was in just moments ago. (Y/n) was still in my arms, but all that was left was her lifeless body.
~This is just a stupid joke. There's no way it could be true... Right?~

I thought to myself as I looked through my pockets with one hand. In my left pocket, something round and hard, almost metal-like.
~I-it can't be...~

Pulling it out, I saw exactly the same ring I saw in the flashbacks. My pinpricks got smaller and blue neon tears have begun forming in the corners of my eyesockets. (Y/n) went completely limp, so I held her closer and tightened my grip on her. The tears finally escaped my eyesockets and landed on her blood-stained (f/c) shirt.

"I'm sorry."
I finally spoke with a raspy voice.
~My theories were incorrect. Why... Why did she do it...? Now I'm stuck here... If she won't reset... I'll be in the Underground alone forever...~

Tears began to run more fluently down my cheeks and onto (Y/n). I buried my face into the crook of her neck and sobbed. Moments later I felt a light weight on my right shoulder. For a second everything was quiet, bit then the monster finally spoke:
"WHY ARE YOU CRYING BROTHER...?"
