Fifth/Sixth period

Mal walked into Grammar and she took her seat in front of Jordan and Audrey. She got out her text book and her pen and she began the task on the board. Jordan and Audrey started spitting spit balls at her after they said an insult to her.

Jordan: There's no point in learning Mal. You don't have a brain.

Audrey: Auradon Prep teaches you more than that dreaded Dragon Hall.

Jordan: The other VK's actually hate you. They told me themselves.

Audrey: Why are you here?

Jordan: What kind of name is Mal?

Audrey: Go kill yourself.

Mal: Stop it!

Teacher: Mal, I said no talking.

Mal: But...but Miss.

Teacher: No buts, Mal. Islers are always bad to the bone. You can't change DNA. What's that saying you use? Bad to the blood? Rotting at the core?

Mal: It's bad to the bone and rotten to the core Miss. We were taught bad to the bone once we could talk. Me and my friends invented rotten to the core.

Teacher: Well, I'm afraid you'll never change.

Mal: I want to be good, Miss. I really do. You are right: you can't change DNA and I do love being rotten to the core but I want to be good.

Teacher: Ha, that's likely. She carried writing on the board. Mal lay her head in her arms on the desk. Jordan and Audrey laughed to themselves.

In six period with Evie and Jay.

Evie and Jay sat down together at the desk they shared and they started to pass notes to each other during the class.

Evie: How will we get to Mal?

Jay: I don't know.

Evie: I guess the circle of life isn't that much of a circle if we can't think of anything.

Jay: I guess. They took a break for a moment. Evie passed Jay another note.

Evie: What are the little eye camera things called?

Jay: I don't know. Why?

Evie: If I slip one into Mal's eye tonight, we can get proof that Audrey is doing something to Mal.

Jay: That's brilliant, E. Where will you get one?

Evie: I'll ask Carlos. We pass him in the hallway so I'll give him a note.

Teacher: Evie, why did Captain Hook seek revenge on Peter Pan? Evie and Jay slowly looked up at the same time. They gave each other a confused look then they looked back at the teacher. There was silence in the classroom for a minute.

Jay: What in the actual Lucifer? Evie giggled.

Teacher: Pardon?

Evie: What is this? Dragon Hall? Why are we learning about Hook?

Jay: You sound like you're talking about Harry?
