"I should have asked JK's phone number." She looked at the time on her phone.
*Ring! Ring!* It's her mother.
"Eomma?"
"Where are you? You didn't tell me you're going out."
"Oh I'm sorry. I went to buy something and I saw him again, but as usual he disappeared."
"Who? Your savior? Go home."
"Yes, eomma. Bye." She hang up.
---
"Are you going back to work?" Her mom asked.
"What?"
"I saw something in your bed when I cleaned your room. A letter, you already decided?" Her mom explained.
"I need to. I don't want you to work, I want to take care of you." Dahyun looked down.
"I can take care of myself, I can take care of you."
"No, It's not that. I am not a child anymore, now that appa is gone. We don't have the same life as we did when he's still here. When he's still alive. I need to be responsible, I'm not even a teenager anymore, eomma..."
"I'm just worried about you. Your work is not easy, you're always taking overtime. I don't know what to think when you're coming home in the morning, knocking on the door 3 am? 4 am? You can't blame me getting mad at you even if you're calling and telling me you have lots of work to finish."
"Eomma, I promise. That will never happen when I get back. I'll come home here 5 o'clock in the afternoon sharp. Tomorrow I will be passing this to Mr. Jung so I can get back... Don't worry about me uh? I am going to be fine, we are going to be fine. Remember you told me that."
"Yes, I know my Dahyunie, I am not that old. Oh please." They hugged each other smiling. "Aigoo, my daughter... Be careful my dear, you understand? You should have a boyfriend who would protect you."
"Aish eomma! Stop it, I don't need to have that because I can protect myself. Protect us." She complained.
"Okay, enough already. Remember this! I am going to blame my self if whatever happens to you, I am not kidding."
"I'll promise you also that it will never happen... Ever."
---
Dahyun went to the Mall to buy something at the department store when someone grabbed her arm.
"H-Hey!" She yelled and everyone looked at her.
"Don't shout, I am not going to do something bad to you." A guy with all black outfit told her. He is wearing black shoes, pants, sweatshirt, wearing his hoodie, mask and a cap.
"Let go of my hand." She said and he stopped. The guy's voice reminds someone to her, he has a big voice.
"Victory sunbaenim?" She asked.
"Bingo..." He muttered and turned around. He removed his mask.
"O-Oh, annyeonghaseyo sunbae." She bowed. "What do you need sunbae?" She asked.
"I know you're not going to believe me if I say this." Taehyung sighed.
"Believe what?"
"Who's your friend? JK?" He said and Dahyun looked at him shocked.
"J-J-JK wh-what?" She got nervous.
"Tell me." He held Dahyun's both shoulders.
"I-I-- Okay. I don't want to lie sunbae, yes. Yes he is JK, how do you know him?"
Dahyun invited him for a dinner in their house.
"Dahyun?" Her mother said and looked at Taehyung. "Who is this guy???" She asked raising her voice. "Is he your boyfriend?!"
"What? Eomma, no. He's my friend. I don't have a boyfriend eomma, you know I'm going to tell you if someone courts me. Aish." She explained being embarassed infront of Taehyung.
"Hello, Ma'am, I'm Taehyung, Dahyun's friend." Taehyung bowed.
"Uh, okay... Hi, you're very good looking. I was just joking about that Boyfriend thing, but here you are." Her mother smiled. "Come in, have you eaten dinner?" She asked as she put her hand on Taehyung's back.
Dahyun prompted her mother not to do it but she's not listening.
"Aigoo, sit here you two. I'm preparing dinner." Then she left.
"I'm sorry about her." Dahyun epologised.
"No, no, no. It's fine, no worries. I like your mom." He smiled.
"Hmm, yea. Feel comfortable sunbaenim, I'm helping eomma for dinner." She excused.
"Oh, th-thank you."
"Where did you meet him? He's handsome dear." Her mother said.
"Eomma, stop it. I'm feeling goosebumps with what I am hearing, aish. Let's just finish this, you don't want your visitor wait long." She finished getting plates and went back to the dinning room.
"Your house looks big." Taehyung said while looking around.
"Uh, my dad built this."
"Woah, you're appa is an engineer?"
"Architech." She smiled and sat infront of him after giving him the plate.
"Here's the food. I'm sorry Taehyung, Dahyun is not eating rice so... Here." Dahyun's mother puts the food at the center.
"Japchae??? This is my favorite." He said.
"Really, sunbaenim?"
"Oh, perfect. Eat there and I need to finish something in the garden."
"What? You're not eating with us?" Dahyun asked.
"Sit here Ma'am. Join us, please." Taehyung patted the sit beside him and Dahyun's mother sat.
"Oh, how nice of you Taehyung~ssi." Taehyung fixed her plate.
"Oh, thank you. Wait, I remember something. Are you-- the guy that Dahyun is telling me?" Dahyun's mother questioned Taehyung.
"Who ma'am?"
"Aigoo, stop calling me ma'am. Call me eomeoni." She smiled brightly to him.
"Eomma!" Dahyun complained.
"What??? Are you the guy is who helped my daughter from the accident happened to her. She told me you are JK." She explained.
"Sun--"
"Y-yes, Yes eomeoni." He interrupted Dahyun.
"Oh, thank you so much. My husband died... If you didn't call for help maybe I don't have my Dahyun here with me now."
"Eomma, stop it already."
"Hmm, I'll leave you here and I'll wash the dishes, okay? I'm done."
"Eomma, no. I'm going to do it."
"Stop being so importunate. No more words." Her mother insisted and left.
"Thank you Eomeoni, I love your japchae." Taehyung said.
"Tss... So sunbae, what do you know about JK?"
