Just Another Girl

Chapter 3

"Hey Jen how did the break up go? How do you feel?" Ben asked while helping her set up the garden.

"Great actually. I don't feel any different, but I am glad that I have something to keep my mind off of anything Chad." She said while seeing Chad walking through the halls. She glares at him when she sees Audrey giving him a hug. Her rage boils up inside but she is brought back to the real world, when Ben touches her shoulder.

    "Don't let him get to you," Ben said smiling. She smiles back at him but the moment is ruined when Audrey stomps her way over to Ben and Jenna.

    "Hey Benny Boo," Audrey said while taking Ben's arm off of Jenna and putting his arm around her shoulder.

    "Looks like I have to go. See you later Jen," Ben said.

    "No, no you can stay. I'll go." Jenna stated, she grabbed her stuff and then turned to face Audrey. "I don't want to ruin the Beauty and the Beast moment,"

    "Don't call my Benny Boo a beast," Audrey said coming closer to Jenna.

    "Who says I was talking about Ben?" Jenna asked walking closer to Audrey. She smiles as she sees Audrey boiling with anger. She walks away bumping into Audrey. Once she is in a new spot, she looks over and sees that Ben is trying not to laugh at Jenna's comment. Audrey is still stunned but after a few minutes she pulls Ben away to where the rest of her friends are.

Jenna looked at her watch that her dad gave her, and realized that she was late. She totally forgot that she had to continue helping Ben get ready for the Isle kids to come. She rushes into the bathroom to fix her hair and to change into comfier clothes. She hears someone knocking on the door and she quickly gets her bag, and answers the door. She smiled when she saw Ben standing outside her dorm room.

"I didn't see you in the garden. I wanted to make sure you were okay." Ben said anxiously.

"Oh no I'm fine. I just lost track of time." Jenna stated. She saw that Ben breathed out in comfort that she was okay. "So... can we go now? Or do you want to stand in the hallway forever?"

"Oh right." Ben let Jenna out of the room and watched as she locked the door. "Are you ready for the big day tomorrow?"

    "Yes I am so ready!" Jenna said. Ben saw how Jenna lit up when she said that. "How is your little girlfriend handling the comment I said to her earlier?"

    "I don't think she took it very well, but don't stoop to her level. It's Chad's lost." Ben said.

    "I know, but why haven't you dumped Audrey yet? I mean she probably has been flirting with Chad too." Jenna said.

    "It's complicated, and plus I don't want to hurt her feelings. I mean she seems happy with me."

    "I don't think you're talking about the right Audrey." Jenna commented, "I just want to see if any of the isle kids will take over her reign over this school,"

    "That would be pretty interesting," Ben said, They both burst out laughing. They get to the garden just in time for someone to start talking on the announcement speakers.

    "Jenna would you please report to Fairy Godmother's office?"

    "Oh gosh," Jenna said while picking her stuff off of the floor. "See you later."

    "Good luck," Ben said. Jenna stuck out her tongue at Ben and laughed. She then started to make her way down to the office. She opened the door, and saw Audrey sitting in one of chairs.

    "What's wrong?" Jenna asked.

    "Jenna, dear Audrey said you said something mean to her this morning." Fairy Godmother stated. 

    "What? I didn't say anything offensive." Jenna said.

    "I think you saying I am a beast is pretty offensive," Audrey said while playing with her hair.    

    "I never said you were a beast I was just saying that I wasn't calling Ben a beast. Plus you're the one that was flirting with Chad while I was going out with him," Jenna fires back.

    "Oh did you think Chad would go out with you for very long? I mean except for the cool magic, you have nothing going for you." Audrey said.

    "THAT'S ENOUGH!! Audrey that was very mean. You know what I think Audrey should join the welcoming committee," Fairy Godmother said, Audrey's mouth drops open, but before she could say anything Jenna starts talking.

    "I think that's a great idea! I mean I think she would love to meet the isle kids." Jenna smiled. "See you down in the garden Audrey."

    "Hey Jenna what did Fairy Godmother want?" Ben asked giving her one end of the banner.

    "Well Audrey told her what I said to her. She thought that I would end up in trouble. She just dug herself deeper in a hole and ended up getting herself In trouble. Now she has to be a part of the welcoming committee."

    "Oh I am sure she would love to do that." Ben laughed.

    "I know."
