Luckily they did. They had advanced drawing and sketching together they happened to sit next to eachother again. Amelia was digging through her bag looking for her sketchbook then Sarah pulled it out of her backpack and asked Amelia "Looking for this?"
"Where did you get that?" Amelia questioned
"You left it on your desk in math."
"Oh well thanks for grabbing it most people wouldn't do that for me. "
"Why not?"
"I'm not really a popular girl here."
"Oh well I don't think we have gotten to eachother enough where do you live?" Sarah asked trying to change the subject to release the tension between her and Amelia.
"Um" Amelia said with fright she didn't want to tell Sarah that she lived in a trailer park outside of town. "I live that way." Amelia pointed West she wasn't lying she does live West of the school but she didn't want to tell Sarah where she really lived.
"Oh that's cool." Sarah said with confusion. "I just moved in to a house on Delton circle."
"Where all the rich people live?" Amelia snorted back.
"that's what people really think of it I know the houses are big but wow I live on the same same street as rich people!"
"If you live there aren't you wealthy?"
"Well I guess now I'm wealthier than I was when I lived in Texas, we lived in a trailer and were almost broke then sold the trailer to this one dude that was like a millionaire and he found a part in our trailer that was worth a million dollars then we moved to michigan to start over our lives."
"I would never guess that looking at you. You have designer clothes and beautiful hair and makeup.""Thank you but thanks not the case."
Amelia was in shock she couldn't believe that the girl standing in front of her had previously lived in a trailer just like her and was almost broke just like her maybe they had more in common than she thought.
"Do you have a phone?" Sarah asked.
"Yeah why?" Amelia wondered.
"Let me see it."
"OK?" Sarah typed a few things into Amelia's phone then gave it back to her
"This is my phone number I want to be friends, you seem like the only decent person in this school."
