"We've been standing here for twenty minutes now," Amy said. "If there were any traps, don't you think we would have triggered them?"
"I guess it's safe to take Thomas," Rose sighed. Tamara single handedly picked up Thomas and slung him over her shoulder. "Come on."
"Well, what do we do with him now?" Amy asked. "I doubt the Royal Free will like us very much if they get an emergency call from us every week or two."
"I think it takes more time than a week to find everyone," Rose said. "But anyways, I don't have an answer. Tara?
"I didn't think of this before," Tamara said. "But have there been any missing person reports since your classmates disappeared?"
Amy frowned. "I don't think anyone even knows Thomas and Rebecca are missing. Except for us, our immediate family, and Miss Lawson. And she's actually a psychopath who killed the real Miss Lawson a year ago."
"Wow," Rose said shakily. "So there aren't any normal people who know about this."
"That's right," Tamara said, not realizing that her sister just referred to her as abnormal. "How are we going to explain Thomas' state to his family?"
"How did we do it for the others?" Rose asked.
"Luke and Alice just kind of disappeared. Violet just up and left. Charles was conscious, so we just dropped him home. We called the ambulance for Henry- I don't want to do that again." Amy said.
At that point, Thomas started stirring. "W-Where am I?"
"At the tower of London, mate." Amy clapped his shoulder.
"Hawthorne, and McAllister?" Thomas asked with disbelief.
"And her more attractive sister." Tamara made sure to add.
"What?" Now Thomas was thoroughly confused.
"Ask no questions and we'll tell you no lies," Amy said. "Please go home."
After taking Thomas home to his confused father, who believed that Thomas was still home, cleaning his room, Rose and Tamara took Amy home.
"So," Tamara began, while the sisters were still in the cab home. "Our last and final stop. Portugal. I've always wanted to go there for a holiday."
"This might sound strange," Rose said. "But it was fun saving the world with you, Tamara. I'll miss you when I- you know."
"You still haven't told Mum, have you?" Tamara asked. The fact that Rose had started calling her by her full name still wasn't something she was used to.
"No." Rose turned away from Tamara. "I've been trying to work up the courage to tell her. Guess I was wrong, though. I will be able to tell her in person."
"She'll understand, Rose. Amy took a while, but she came around." Tamara put her arm around her sister.
"I hope you're right," Rose muttered, not taking her eyes off the passing scenery.
It turned out, Melinda was less than understanding. In fact, she was absolutely livid. "You what?"
"I have to, Mum," Rose said desperately. "I'm the heir to Maagiline's throne."
"You've never been to Maagiline," Melinda shot back. "And I won't even be there to look after you."
"Mum, I'm not a baby anymore. I can take care of myself," Rose reminded her. "And besides, Dad will be there if I need any help."
"But will he have time for you?" Melinda asked angrily. "He is the king, after all."
