Part 1: Awakening From Slumber
Kieran:
"The coffee here is amazing, much sweeter than that one little stand we always went to." Kieran said softly. His hands slowly pulling the small coffee cup from his lips, back down to the small tea plate.
"But, why did we just NOW come here. I've been here for what, four years now, yet I've never heard of this place, just that it IS the best of coffee shops?" Kieran questioned lightly. His eyes focused onto the woman that sat in front of him.G
arcia:
On that day four years ago, Garcia Wesley was beyond overwhelmed within her shop, her and a few select other ghouls working to create new masks and armor for ghouls in the fight against the investigators. A mass unit of humans who use Ghouls own essence to fight against their enemy. But for ghouls like Garcia, she could never understand why they should be enemies.Four years ago today Christen walked into the front doors of her shop with a strange man in tow. A strange man that the ghoul never knew she would be close friends with, working with side by side. And now, she sat across from him 4 years later, a grin on her face as he complained about never coming here before. She reached her hands forward, gripping the cup infront of her and bringing it to her lips. "This coffee shop is one of my favorite places to go, but I've never brought anyone with me, better yet a gentleman like yourself." She was implying his human statue, however to most other he did not smell like a human. She masked his scent with her own, in ways that she herself sometimes found to be selfish.
"I figured now would be a good time to bring you to somewhere I find, peaceful. Safe." She explained as she took a sip from the coffee. The shop today was busy like usual, which made their conversation drown out to unwanted ears. Garcia leaned forward, her long black hair lightly falling against the counter. She had a clear, fair complexion with thicker lips that were pulled into a smirk. "Besides, the man I lay with to protect his ass might as well endulge in something good." She joked, leaning back slowly, her cup still in her hands
In order to mask a humans scent it was through injections or sex. She knew that the injections would case him more pain then was needed, so she took the other route. Which she was sure wasn't a complaint on Kierans end either. She told him it was strictly a friends with benefits thing and so far she was able to lock away the emotion of it.
Kieran:
Kieran listened gently to Garcia, his right leg over his left one, his left arm slung over the back of the chair. His right hand remaining on the table beside his cup."Yeah, I can tell it's your favorite place." Kieran replied with a curious look. Curious eyes trickling over Garcia. "But, why all of the sudden? If you wanted to go on a date, just ask." Kieran said, his lips gently pulling a soft smile.
Kieran was by far a much more romantic character as a whole. He always did cute and small things for Garcia, regardless of what she told him and others of their relationship. He showed interest, but sometimes it didn't feel like much from Garcia or others' prospective. It was as if he was trying to make her feel better for sleeping with him.
Kieran's side was far different than that though. Christen knew that, and perhaps one or two more did. But not the person who should've known did. She only saw him as a friend, a partner to insure business is well and safe, and keep him hidden away from the other ghouls.
Kieran lifted his hand to the cup, slowly pulling it up to his lips once again. His eyes focused onto Garcia, waiting for a response to his question.
'She's looking gorgeous today.' Kieran spoke to himself, his mind swirling over and over with her. Her beauty. The marks he had touched and kissed. It was gorgeous to the human male, ghoul or not.
