Part Two: The Majestic Bird

Garcia:
Even as she turned the corner and headed down the street the ghoul could feel his warmth press against her front. Garcia lightly rubbed her chest as she walked, her pace slowly lightly until she stopped in the middle of the walkway. Horns, cars, bus doors opening, and chatter could be heard around her but yet her hearing became dulled. Her thoughts completely engulfing herself.

Kieran. A human she learned to care for despite the amount if times she told herself she didn't.

A human she saved numerous times, even a couple of those times ended her up in critical condition.

A human who makes her heart ache knowing he hurt. In more ways then just physical.

She wasn't oblivious to his emotions but a part of her made herself feel as if she was. It was to mask her own emotions. To protect the two of them. Or was it to protect herself? Garcia gazed up at the sky, the dark grey clouds thay threatened to open up loomed over the city. Such a menacing cloud looked so comforting still.

Garcia took in a deep breath and exhaled, bringing her attention back to her surroundings. "I will hold you to yours words. I expect dinner and a movie." She whispered to herself with a smile, beginning to walk again.

Kieran:
Kieran slowly walked down the alleyway, a few faces following but soon parting into their apartment buildings. Kieran took this route a lot, almost all of the time did he walk down it to get home. His apartment only two blocks down. He saw familiar faces, and while he perhaps didn't know their names, nor did they know his, they all knew each other by face. That's what .are Kieran love Ghouls and humans. Almost all of these faces were ghouls. They were good people, only trying to live, not wanting to cause harm or be harmed.

“And that's why I can't look at them any differently than humans.” Kieran whispered to himself as he slowly rounded a corner. As soon as Kieran did, he felt a large slam against his right shoulder, then another against his right hip, slamming him against the wall and some trash cans. He grunted and yelled in pain. His eyes drive up, to a large hammer like tails, switching between his arms. Kieran looked at the kagune, his breathing slightly intensifying. The woman that had such a kagune looked at Kieran with red and black eyes, eyes of starvation. Her bald head, her body, and her clothing reeked of prostitution for survival.

“You're human!?” She hissed, her breath uneasy and abnormal. “just then, you talked about how you can't look ghouls any different,  you-you smell like a ghoul!” She hissed again as she tried to breath properly. She looked almost zombie like, her body disfigured and hardly standing. Kieran groaned heavily, knowing something was sprained and bruised.

“What in good Lord's are you going off about!? You're starving, good hell look at you. I've got food, left overs just in case I came across someone unfortunate.” Kieran said as he breathed heavily. The woman almost tuned him out though, as if he was white noise.

“You're hurt, more than a ghoul should be. I can hardly attack yet you're hurt like a human. You're mating with a ghoul aren't you? Or hired one of us slits, either way.” The woman whispered in a demented like voice.

“Hey! O-oh God God!” A voice rung out. Kieran turned to his left, looking towards a tiny group of civilians, of normal people. They looked at the ghoul and Kieran. Kieran slowly looked at the ghoul, seeing her hunger.
